I haven’t had whipped frosting on any cake, unless I have made it myself. I am not sure how it would hold up to any decorations you might want to add to it, but it would be really pretty on a wedding cake. We are having buttercream icing on our cake. The bakery we are getting our cake from uses a really good recipe.

Not a fan at all of whipped frosting.  Anything else would depend on the flavor of the cake.  What type of cake are you having?

We’re getting buttercream because it was cheaper than fondant and so many people are finicky about fondant anyway. Plus, I like that buttercream is kind of “old-fashioned.” 🙂

Whipped frosting would be pretty – your baker could make really pretty, rustic-looking swirls in it. 🙂 I’m with noritake22 as well – it probably wouldn’t hold up well with other decorations, but it would still look simple and pretty on its own, especially with a cute cake topper. 🙂
