We closed on our single-family home 14 months ago and have loved every minute of living there!

We own a townhome… We’ve been there almost three years, so we’re hoping in maybe two years or so before we start TTC we can move into a single family home.  It’s tough though, because we absolutely love the location of our townhome and would hate to leave such a great spot, but SFH’s around us are very expensive.

We just bought our single family home last week! Something I never even dreamed of doing at 20!

Mine isn’t one of your options – they call it a carriage house. It’s basically a single family (3 levels, 2800 square feet) that is between two other houses of the same design. The main one is the picture is in the middle. You can see the attached ones on either side of it (sorta). Fiance owns it. I own a condo that we’re renting out since I moved into this one.

We live in a 1 BR apartment.  Would love to move to a 2 BR and start TTC but havent really seen anything nice in our area under $2500.  Very frustrating.

@Mrs.KMM:  We are in a condo right now because we just moved to Nova Scotia for my FI’s job. Technically it is a townhouse but it has HOA fees so they call it a condo. His company is paying for it while we house hunt.

Back in Ontario we had a detached, single family dwelling for our family home. We have rental properties of various types – condos, detached, triplex, duplex, etc.

We live in a townhome that we own (and we own another condo that is rented out), but will be moving into a single-family home that we will rent while we rent out our townhome. Confusing!! I am really excited to be in a single-family home though!!

What’s the difference between a multiplex and townhomes? I googled the term and got movie theaters…

We live in a single family home (mortgaged) and own a townhouse outright (that we rent out because there sales market sucks right now in that area).

We live in a mortgaged single family house.  We sold Fiance old house and bought this house together last month.  Previously I rented a single family house with my kids.
