I’m wearing flats.  I have never heel a high heels person.  Our wedding is outdoors too, so anything with a heel would sink into the ground pretty quickly.

I’m 5’4″ and going for comfort – either a flat or a very low heeled sandal.

@goingtotherooftopoflove:  Your shoes are awesome!  I’ve been looking for flats for a while now but haven’t been wowed by much until yours.  Where are they from?

@LovelyLee:  hey, it’s cold in February and the dress was long, so I figured why the hell not?

I wore peep-toe platform heels. But I also bought platform flipflops for the reception and dancing.  I really loved my shoes but they killed my feet so I was thankful to change into the flip flops.  I wouldn’t normally wear platform flip flops but they worked great so my dress wouldn’t drag as much.

I glitterfied my shoes. I picked up a brand spankin new pair of 3″ pumps from the thrift store as a practice pair before I dove in on my actual wedding shoes, just in case I hated it. I wore the practice shoes to try on gowns and ended up being so comfortable in them I decided to make them my wedding shoes!

I wore what were going to be my wedding shoes to my MOH’s bachelorette party and wowww did they hurt my feet! So glad I stuck with my thrift store pair!

Thanks!  I used Shoes of Prey and designed them myself.  Absolutely LOVE them as a company – their customer service is top notch.  The first pair they sent were too big but they have a free remake policy.  The wedge was originally higher and I asked if there was any way to make it lower… and voila!

I abslutely knew I would be sore in heels. And I wanted to be able to enjoy dancing well into the night. So it was easy to decide on flats! I could have worn heels until they got sore but then my hem would either be too short before the change or too ong after the change to flats. So I went with flats from the begining. I tried on some full flats and some sandals an ended up in some simple, comfy, white sandals.

I wore heels, but I bought ballroom dance shoes.   They’re SO comfy!   I wore them all day and all night, I took them off around 1am because I was ruining the suede bottoms because someone spilled beer on the dance floor… They’re ruined anyway, I could have just kept them on, but my point is they didn’t hurt my feet at all.

I voted heels but will probably change to sandals for dancing.  I love my heels because they are my something old, I wore them to my FI’s brother’s wedding. They are also the inspiration for my wedding colors.

I wish I could wear them all night but I am not a high heel girl normally.

I am wearing teal ballet flats (to match my bridesmaids’ dresses). I only occasionally wear heels and am MUCH more comfortable in flats since I wear them almost every day at work. Plus, I am 5′ 8″ and my Fiance is only 5′ 10″. I really don’t want to be taller than him :/

@LovelyLee:  I’m 5’2″ (maybe 5’3″ if I stand super straight!), and I wore flats.  I’m not used to heels so I didn’t want to look awkward walking around in them on my wedding.  Plus, we were outside and in a barn and on a dock.  Not great areas for heels.  I also walked around barefoot too.

The key is to break them in BEFORE the wedding. I wore them around the house for a whole week before the wedding and I was able to wear them almost all night, at least until after the garter toss. Around 11PM, I put on some flat-blingy sandals.
