I could really use some help deciding which type of veil would look best with the style of my dress. When I was trying it on I was completely focused on the dress and forgot to look at different veil types.
I am leaning towards a simple tulle elbow length veil or a birdcage veil of some type. I love the birdcage veils but don’t know if my dress is vintagy enough to pull that off. I’d love any thoughts or advice you may have.
Thank you so much!

i think a simple cathedral veil would look lovely

I agree, simple cathedral veil! If you’re looking for shorter, simple fingertip!

Wow, I love the texture of your dress. I would keep it elbow length to spotlight that texture.
I am not a huge fan of birdcages and you’re right, I don’t think a birdcage would do your dress justice. However, if you are super high fashion, a really cool and dramatic fascinator (big tulle, etc.) might be great.

I think that you could pull off a birdcage veil. Although they are technically vintage (aren’t all veils?) in my mind they are a sort of contemporary nod to the traditional veil and the texture of your dress makes it pretty contemporary.

Thank you all for your comments and advice. I went in for my first fitting today and I am still trying to decide. I want to do both haha…but I can’t afford to do that so I need to make up my mind soon!

wow, beautiful dress!
personally i wouldn’t go for elbow length as i think it might obscure/compete with the crystal detailing at the back of the dress. i would go instead with fingertip or cathedral length. i also agree with the other poster who said a birdcage veil would work! i think it would actually look stunning and would compliment the silhouette & the fabric detail really well!
i think it will depend on what you feel most comfortable wearing. although i love the look of birdcages and a birdcage would have gone well with my dress, i wanted the drama of a cathedral length veil so went with that instead.
