I went in for my first fitting today and my mom and mamaw both came. They both are convinced I need to wear a long veil. I tried one on, and while wearing it I fell in love with it. But now when I look back at the pictures, I think it looks awful!! What do you bees think?
And here are some pictures without a veil…
Ahhh so bees, should I go with the long veil? Or a medium length, birdcage, idk!

BakerBee16: With that stunner of a dress, I’d suggest a headband.

I like the idea of the long veil, but maybe minus the blusher.

I wasn’t sure how to vote, because I think a veil would look nice, maybe even a long one, but I don’t like the one in your picture. How are you going to wear your hair?

BakerBee16: I think the long veil looks amazing, although i’m not a fan of the blusher part of it

Here’s a picture of the back. I agree with you all, the blusher is too much. I like the idea of a headband too! I love my dress so much I don’t want the veil to be “too much” ya know?

I think the long veil absolutely compliments the dress. Actually the veil brings the beauty of the dress out even more. When I look at your most recent photos with the veil in the back, and then scroll up to see the pics of your dress without the veil, I dunno, it just seems to be the perfect dress to go with the veil.
Im in concurment with others though who mentioned that the blush in the front might be a bit too much. But 100% the long veil in the back looks stunning.

I think the long veil is gorgeous but not with the blusher- blushers look very 1990’s to me for some reason.

I think that a veil looks beautiful with your dress, however the long veil is a little too much IMO. I think it would look better with something a little shorter, like fingertip length. Your dress looks gorgeous on you! Beautiful fit!

I love it with the long veil – but I agree with the others, that particular blusher just isn’t right. If you want the two layer look with a blusher, I would suggest looking for a drop style veil or one with a little less gathering at the comb – that’s what is giving the veil that 1980’s poof and most likely what you’re getting stuck on when you look at the pictures.
I wouldn’t do anything but a long veil though – with your dress’s details, a shorter veil would cut it strange and I don’t think it would compliment it.

BakerBee16: I personally think a medium/finger tip length veil would look amazing. The long veil doesn’t look bad but I think it looks slightly too long since it covers the train of your dress.

BakerBee16: I voted yest to the long veil, but I definitely think you should keep it simple and have no blusher with it. JMO. <br />Your dress is gorgeous on you By The Way 🙂
