    DH has a palladium ring. Mine is platinum but we couldn’t justify the cost of his ring in platinum  at an extra $1000. Our rings match – those were the only metals offered.

    He has a platinum and diamond wedding band. He’s allergic to gold, my rings are platinum and I wanted him to have something that matched.

    Tungsten because we liked the look of it and the price was within our budget.

    Fiance originally wanted and titanium band because he liked how light it was. We ordered his ring online because the selction of them where we are sucked, they happened to be having a super sale on tungsten rings so I suggested he order one of those as well andmake the final decision when we got them.

    He started with the titanium but the black finish on it started to scratch off(he tested them before the wedding) so he switched to the Tungsten one. Initially he wasn’t a fan of the weight of the Tungsten ring but now he loves it and feel naked if he doesnt have it on =)

    I love that he loves wearing his ring – it looks sexy on his finger haha

    My husband has a two-toned tungsten ring. If we had known about other options (titanium, etc) we may have gone that route. He really likes that he can open beer bottles with it.

    @SupermansSweetheart:  The tungsten ring looks just like my husband’s but we got it in a lighter gray.

    I have to ask, what did y’all pay for your husband’s tungsten ring? We paid $200 at a brick and mortar, but now I see them on Amazon for $20. It’s nice that we got my ering, WB and his ring from the same place for convenience but kinda bummed we spent so much!

    His will be a plain white gold or gold band, the traditional style with rounded edges.  Its a classic.

    @luckylady3090:  We looked in traditional stores for DHs WB and they we all over $200, we ended up getting both of the rings we purchased for him for $100 including shipping – sorry cant recall the name of the online store. The quality was great – the black finish being scratched on the titanium one wasnt due to poor quality, its a common issue for colored titanium. I think the sale price we paid for the tungsten one ended up because like $30 or something – cheap but looks great and is good quality.

    I have a friend who works in the jewelry business and has told me that the reason brick and mortar stores charge so much for tungsten and the like is simply due to the fact that its trendy.

    His ring is silver. I was looking for something that wasnt too expensive (I fully expect him to lose it sometime during our marraige)and I wanted it to match the colour of mine (white gold). I was at a store looking at one and when they showed it to me I just knew he would love it. I showed it to his brother and he agreed, so I bought it! DH does love it, and hasnt lost it yet!

    My dh has a yellow gold band with 7 channel set diamonds.  Unlike me, he still has his original wedding ring from 2002.  He loves his ring and wears it to work, even when he isn’t supposed to (electrical lineman).  It may even come in style again, lol.  He’s had it reshaped twice.  I’d like to get him an inexpensive tungsten, but he’s more sentimental than me.

    @BrandNewBride:  +1

    Same reasoning. 🙂 My DH got his at Larson Jewelers for $100, and it’s got a Celtic print on it that fits him (he’s Irish-American).
