I’m getting married for the 3rd time also. I’m 53 years old. 1st to high school sweetheart for 5 years, 2nd for 20 years.  This is the first time it is for all the right reasons and to the right man.  I first bought a simple strapless dress. It just didn’t feel right, one because I didn’t want to wear strapless, and 2, I wanted something more classic. I didn’t wear a traditinal gown either time before.  I don’t have a picture of me in the dress, but here’s the stock photo.  I decided to wear what makes me feel good and not worry about what everyone thinks.  My daughers LOVE the dress and I can’t wait to wear it.

Do whatever the heck you want.  It’s your wedding – you can be as bridezilla as you want.

I’d go with a simple shaped lace dress. I mean that is what I am actually wearing. But, it’s not puffy or princess style. It’s just simple, timeless and classic. It doesn’t matter how many marriages you have had, you deserve to look and feel like a beautiful woman on your wedding day. You can still be traditional, if that is what you want. It’s your day! Don’t listen to the chirping of other people and their opinions. Many blessings to you!

Do whatever you want!  It’s our day!

I just stumbled across a site earlier with gorgeous wedding dresses for island brides and wedding sarongs.  Gorgeous!  Very unusual, figure-flattering, almost “hot” (as fi called one dress).

I’m a 40 year encore bride to be and am planning on wearing something very sexy and glamorous.  Here’s some pics of dresses that I’m considering.  The color will be silver.

I say that it is your day, and wear what makes you happy and incorporates how you feel, as long as it goes with your basic theme and wedding planning.

That dress is gorgeous Roberta. I was worried what to wear as well. First marriage lasted 23 yrs ( because of the kids) This is my Fiance first marriage and I decided  the heck with it, this is MY day! So Im wearing a white satin, off the shoulder corset gown with a chapel train. Im doing it “: right”: this time. Hopefully, anyone with nasty comments will keep them to themselves. Good luck and congratulations ladies!

I am getting married on the beach in a short dress and then having a hometown reception in an a-line dress.

Its your wedding wear what you want!

I’m wearing Sophia Tolli. This is the “Vaughn” dress shown on the model. The front has an illusion, bateau neckline with some bling.

I ended up getting a simple ivory dress with a very small train and a little bling.  It’s completely different from the dress I wore first time (think cinderella ballgown princess!).  I’m really excited about this because I think I look better in it than I did in the other one.  I’m much smarter about fashion this time around! 😉
