We can’t figure out what to do about favors (perhaps more specifically, whether to do them at all). I like the idea of giving guests a thank you favor, but I haven’t seen/heard anything I love yet. Right now, if we do anything at all, we’re leaning towards writing each guest a note thanking them for attending (separate from gift thank you card, if applicable) with a link to our wedding pictures and enclosing a printed photo of us at the wedding or us with them at the wedding. Are any of you doing unique favors? I’m looking for inspiration!

This is a little more expensive but we are doing mini photo books from walmart (3.88 each) with our engagement pictures in them!

We are giving mason jars with twine around them with coffee stained tags that say their namwedding heir table. Theit will then use it for their beverage for the evening. I was thinking small mason jars at each setting filled with honey or something with a fancy lace over the top. What do you think?

We are considering doing maple syrup for our rustic wedding, but it would get expensive so I don’t know

We’ve made home-made orange liqueur and we will be tying gift tags with each person’s name on them with tartan ribbon that matches my fiance’s kilt.

we made coasters! I love them 🙂 we are also going to use the extras at the wedding and put them at the bar! The picture is my sample!
There are 6 different sayings in each bundle!

We’re having a photo booth and the strips will have our names and date. The photo booth is acting as a few things for us: pseudo-guestbook (we’ll get a book with all the photo strips in it), reception activity (because, really, who doesn’t love mugging for a photo booths?), and favors for guests (unlimited prints).
We were going to do an individually boxed slice of pie for each guest from one of my favorite bakeries, but the cost all the pie would’ve ended up being the same as the photo booth, so we went with the photo booth instead.

We gave each guest fresh baked mini apple pies (and when I say “mini” I mean they were like 6″ in diameter so they were actually quite large). I knew our guests would like them but I had no idea just how much. We’ve been married for 6 months and we’re still getting rave reviews.

I’m not sure how unique this is, but we are having a photobooth and the guests get to take the pictures home with them. I like it because they can visit as much as they want, so it serves as entertainment and a favor. Plus they put a copy of their picture and put it in a memory book for us. I’m pretty excited to see what pictures they take!

We have multiple favors I guess
for the ceremony – antique handkerchiefs and NO I do not want them back after the ceremony ummm thanks LOL
Silk fans since it is out on a balcony in case it is warm
but our actual favor is french pastilles (mints) in an organza bag with a handmade organza flower pinned to each bag

Honestly, I am a fan of edible chocolate…most weddings that I have gone to don’t even have favors either so I don’t think they’ll be missed…

I’m really leaning towards the customized fortune cookies in cute boxes. I’m hoping to find a few rose-related sayings because yellow roses are a theme in the wedding.

We’re doing succulents in glass jars clustered together as our centerpieces and encouraging guests to take one home with them if they’d like. If not, we’ll plant a couple of them and donate the rest to a nursing home and the botanical garden where we’re hosting the wedding.
Also making a donation to our local volunteer-only (so no salaries!) dog rescue in lieu of actual favors.
