Everything from sand ceremonies to love letter ceremonies to personlized vows. I am just curious how you are making your ceremony unique? I really want to include something that recognizes the guests at our ceremony, or include them in some way. What are you doing?

I’m having a unity candle and having a live song played at my wedding with real instruments and singers. They’re singing “Household of faith!” it’s going to be beautiful!

We are doing a hands passage reading before we say our vows and we are also doing a river stones bowl of wishes reading as a way of including our guests. We are having a very small wedding in the mountains and liked the idea of bringing the natural element into the ceremony. The stones will double as our guest book – we will put a marked by the bowl for the guests to sign the stone before putting it into our wishing bowl. With less than 20 people attending, it’s not likely we will forget who was there so we nixed the traditional guest book…you should ask your officiant for unique ideas too. good luck!

something our Justice of the Peace showed us for our ceremony, rather than “do you give your child/ren” yadda yadda was something that asked all guests in favour of the wedding to applaud. I thought it was simple, cute and was a great way to keep people involved during the ceremony.
