what kind of dress will you be wearing?  i say cathedral only because my head is not hip enough to wear a birdcage.  i remember the consultant put one on my head and i remember it really bugging me and i kept calling it a bird’s nest veil.

Cathedral veils are so romantic.  Can we see your dress?  It may help us advise you!

I am doing raw edge cathedral veil on my all lace gown and I just think it is the best veil choice if you want a classic and very bridal look. It would also work very nice with your dress (or the one that looks close to it)

Not that I think a cathedral veil would be bad with your dress, cause I don’t, but have you thought about a waist length veil or some other long length that’s not floor length?  The only reason I say that is because I just remembered my experience trying on a cathedral veil in the dress shop.  It was not a pretty sight.  It was a lot of tulle and feet tangled in tulle and bunched up wads of tulle.  However that may have been because I was a in a small dressing room.  Who knows!  Try some on and take some pictures!

@LuckyJuls:  I agree, why not do both? Use the gorgeous cathedral veil for the ceremony and switch to a birdcage for the reception. I am doing something very similar.

@nikolecoconuts:  Yes, a shorter one for the reception. Or you could just go with a bird cage. A cathedral would be really tough to pull off all night, after all.

Lots of options! Don’t worry :).
