So, I’ m going to go try on veils today, yay! But I need some advice because I have received some really contradicting opinions from my friends and the ladies at the dress shop. What kind of veil you do guys think I should try on? I am not really attached to any specific idea so I am willing to try anything, but it would be nice to have an idea where to start.

I wouldn’t go for anything too detailed because there’s so much detail in your absolutely gorgeous dress. You could do anything, really—birdcage, fingertip length, blusher or no, cathedral length. I say try on a bunch and see what makes you feel like a bride.

I say nothing super fussy that will distract from the dress! There’s a lot of detail in there, it would be sad to cover it up!

Lengthwise, you could try on anything really, but in terms of detail, I agree, keep the veil super simple. I personally am envisioning a cathedral length for you, but it will depend on how formal or not your venue is!

I always defer to the cathedral length cause I think its so elegant…I agree with PP’s to keep the veil simple however. 🙂

cathedral length, really? I really never even thought of that, but I can see your point for sure! My venue is a barn… sooo… not very formal! But I don’t give a crap about matching the formality of what I am wearing to the venue, I am wearing what I want!

I’d say elbow length or birdcage.

I’m still so glad you went with that dress. On the veil, I vote to keep it simple, too. But I would make sure the the edges are soft or trimmed so they match the dress, more rounded with shape : ) What are you doing with your hair?

I think a bird cage veil would look lovely with your dress.

I’d go Plain and Elbow or Shorter! or maybe even a Tulle Birdcage if you like those!
Your dress is so beautiful!!! =)

I think I picked my veil today – what do you think?

I think it’s a great choice. It’s simple and pretty and doesn’t compete with your dress.

@peasantsong: I love where it cuts off, and I’m so glad you chose something very simple! 🙂 Great choice and love your dress!
