I’m hoping you can help me decide on a veil to wear with my dress… My dress (which I have attempted to post a picture of below…) is really very simple with a few lovely details on the back which I don’t want to cover up… when I tried on my dress the salesgirl brought me a few veils … one which reached halfway down my back and the other which was longer than the train… Neither looked quite right and I decided I should maybe give up on the idea of a veil… Until I saw this wedding:
The veil comes down just below the bride’s chin and can be lifted back if need be.
Would this veil work with my dress? Is there another veil possibility I should be considering?
edit: I can’t get the picture to post so my dress can be found here…

I think a short veil like that would work really well. Or maybe a birdcage veil?
Something like this might be really beautiful.. Blusher Veil
Or maybe just a really pretty flower haircomb? Maybe something like this Flower Comb ?

I absolutely LOVE the veil in that “real weddings” photo, and I think it would be perfect with your dress. Definitely. For sure. (I love it that it’s a bit different than the everyday/trendy birdcage situation.)

Um, YEAH! That veil would look GREAT with your dress. That bride is TOO CUTE! I LOVE IT!!! Aggg I’m jealous & wish I had time to buy a new veil, I’m totally smitten with it!

I love the veil in the real wedding photo as well. I think it would look great with your dress and I agree that you need something that will let you show off the great back of your dress. I agree with sleepylittlesailor that this veil is a little different than the trendy birdcage veil and I like it a lot more because of that.

I really like that little veil in the photo and agree that it will look great with your dress.
I also like the blusher birdcage veil that luckyyou posted. That is exactly what I thought of when I looked at your dress.

the veil looks like tulle or illusion, i agree. but it looks like circles the head entirely, when it’s down over the face… (?). and extends under the chin. i’d say it was a tulle or illusion circle, with a comb at the crown, chin-length. (most birdcages just cover part of the face or head, don’t make, like, a bubble over it. maybe it’s s bubble veil? anyway, love it!

Awesome dress, and that style of veil would look great with it! Sara Gabriel has a bunch of really cute shorter veils that aren’t quite birdcage, if you would like a few more to compare – you could always get an etsy-ian to make a custom one for you!
