I am completely hopeless with accessories and utterly lost when it comes to picking a veil. My dress is Allure 2619, and I’m think that because of the detail on the back, I should be going for short and simple. Or no veil at all? SO CONFUSED. Help me!!!!

@princess_r: do you have pics of your dress and some veils youre considering?

I think a birdcage veil or a long lacey one to match the dress would be nice…

Honestly I think you could do just about whatever you wanted with this dress.
What’s the rest of your wedding like? Do you have a theme? That can help point to what kind of veil would go best with your dress. Try to think of the whole ensemble.
You can do a very modern birdcage with rhinestones and satin fascinator to match the waist detailing, or you can do a long plain or lace veil.
I wouldn’t do a bubble/poof veil. Either birdcage, or fingertip or longer.

@Anise: +1. I would suggest going to the store and trying on different veils WITH your dress on

@weddingbound: Hello Dear,
I had the same exact problem and was so lost! I tried on several veils with my dress and as my dress (Jenny packham Eden) was quite the a full-on dress (beading, ect) I decided to go for a simple, light veil that does not distract from my dress. Your dress has a lot going with the backless feature (which you WANT to show!) and the lace. My reco would be to keep the veil simple and timeless and allow for the dress to shine 🙂
I am actually selling mine currenlty if you are interested:
Have a look at the pic of back…you’ll know what I mean 😉

I had this dress and wore two veils (one plain and one with a lace/bead detail on the edges)! I know this post is years old but maybe it will help future bees looking at a similar style :)!
