My fiance is notoriously picky, and he wanted this specific tan linen suit. So we went ahead and bought it, but I’ve been having a hell of a time finding a vest to match, color and texture. Admittedly, I don’t know if that matters, but that’s what he wanted. All the other linen vests I’ve seen – from Macy’s down to Sears – are not tan enough. 😉
Any suggestions? Here’s the tie. TIA!

I actually don’t think a vest will look that great with that suit. Since it is a lightweight summer suit, it’s not really meant to be worn with a vest and with the slim cut, it may look a little bulky if you add another layer. I also think you will have a very hard time finding anything that matches, so my vote is vest-less! Nice suit, btw.

I agree – no vest needed. That suit is so sexy though, I love love love a tan suit! Our wedding is black tie though and Fiance has vetoed all tan suits for any purpose 🙁

personally, I would buy/rent the tie at the same place as the vest to make sure they matched. But alot of the vests i’ve seen online are not that expensive and i’m sure you could get a refund if they are not the exact/correct color that you want.

I agree with a best not being needed. It would look great without one.

I agree no vest. The point of a linen suit is for it to bee light and airy, and a vest counteracts that whole feel. I think just a good tie.

I agree with no vest. Especially for a summer wedding with a tan suit…

Thanks, bees! <3 He trusts your judgment, so vest-less it is!
