Probably some day in high school. I got married at city hall and it wasn’t all that exciting to be honest.

The day I met my husband. I remember it like it was not 9 years ago. I was relaxed and we were having such a great time; not like my wedding where I was stressed out all day and TIRED. Have not had a child yet but I am sure that day will be on the top of the list if it ever happends.

I think the best day of my life so far was Family Day (the day before my husband graduated USMC boot camp, and the first time I got to have any contact other than letters in over 3 months!) Those 13 weeks were horrible for me for a lot of reasons, and getting to hug him and kiss him and hold his hand and look at him just instantly made me feel so much better about everything!

I have a “best” day in memory. Honestly, there have been some days that were just as magical or even better since then, but it’s the day that immediately popped into my head when I read the question. I am a big believer that the true best day is still ahead, but our first date always tugs at my heart strings and makes me smile to remember.

We met online and were pretty smitten for months, but obviously there are some things that cannot be completely communicated and understood through a screen. I was so nervous at first, and we were kind of awkward in the beginning. Then he hugged me, and it all became so right. We spent the day together, and it was just perfect.

    Well, best day so far…

Definitely wedding day is up there for sure–it was so fun and loving and just special to be surrounded by the people we loved most.

Probably the happiest single moment I’ve ever had was when Darling Husband found out that he’d been accepted with full funding to the PhD program he goes to now–I had already gotten into the PhD program I really wanted, and he just needed to get into this one to cement our top choice life plan for the next 6 years. I was so happy I couldn’t think straight for like 5 hours.

I’ve also been really, really happy on some trips we’ve taken together, including our honeymoon, but I don’t know if I could pick out a single really great day. But I just love travelling with my DH! We have such an amazing time together.

I’m guessing finding out I’m pregnant and lots of baby moments will be up there too–in a few years. 🙂

@freshflowers:  Wedding day is totally up there… but honestly the best day of my life happened recently on my honeymoon when I was in Thailand and I got to feed and  play with baby tigers.

    • Wedding: April 2013 - A court...

No children, so best day so far was when I went to see my favorite band play lol. Ive never been to a concert so it was amazing, I literally had tears in my eyes which is pretty funny since I didn’t go see an opera or classical music but metal ha ha.  & I met and hugged the bassist *swoon* . Didn’t say the day I was married since it was a low key court wedding & wasn’t that exciting tbh

    @peachacid:  +1

I think it is kind of silly to pin all your bests on one day. To me everyday I am alive, healthy and surrounded by the people I care about is the best day.

Right now I suppose I would say my wedding day. But that doesn’t mean the rest of the days suck and it’s all downhill from here. I have plenty of amazing (and even better) days to come.

I’ll be 55 in a month and I agree that life is filled with plenty of “best days”. Here are my top picks:

Finding out I was pregnant after infertility (both great days with my son and then with my daughter)

The days they were born whole & healthy.

My 50th birthday was monumental: got divorced on that birthday after 25 years of marriage – a happy day to be free of an oppressive, emotionally abusive relationship. Went on to dinner with my now Darling Husband & had memorable birthday sex.

July 20, 2012, our wedding day. My husband says it was the best day of his life and who am I to argue?

I have not gotten married yet, but I can’t imagine any day better than the day we brought my lil man into this world!

I voted childbirth, but actually I have had several “best day of my life” since my son was born. Everytime he does something new and oh-so-cute I have another best day haha. And when we do something just the three of us, a special activity, is often another best day.

the day I met my husband (I mean counting 24 hours from the moment we met) is at the top spot right now. That day just seemed to go on forever and even now when we think about all the awesome things we did together in that short space of time, we can’t figure out how we did it!

New Years Eve 2009 in Curacao was wonderful. Undergrad graduation was a also a blast. There’s lots of days that I consider in the top 5% of the 10,000 or so days I’ve been alive, lol.
