$5 chips at the casino. Friend had her wedding in Las Vegas at one of the upscale casinos and we all stayed in LV as well, it was definitely well used haha…

I’m in the minority and I Love. All. Favors!! I like keeping them and thinking if the couple when I use them. Shot glasses, coasters, plastic cups, whatever it is! My favorite favor was organic honey in gorgeous glass bottles.

One wedding I went to gave koozies and another had little pieces of paper with flower seeds pressed into it, you can plant the whole thing in some soil and grow flowers! Thought that was really unique!

My favourite favour ever was a tiny tree sappling! They had fabric tied around the bottom where the dirt and roots are, and they were intended for everyone to take home and plant in hopes of making the world a little bit greener 🙂

I know one thing on this subject, it’s that the favors the bride and groom give at the wedding reception should be something guests won’t want to leave behind. Friends and family are traveling from near and far to support the couple on their big day so the least that can be done for them is to provide a nice favor. Here is a post on great ways to say ‘thanks’ to wedding planning that focuses more on providing a fun atmosphere than something to send friends home with. I’m talking In-n-Out food trucks for a midnight snack and props for the dance floor! [content edited for advertising]

I’ve loved everything I’ve gotten so far: cake pops, little jar of honey, and a piece of soap.

sboom :  I’ve only had candy favors, cd with music from the wedding, coasters or no favors at all were given. I made homemade salt scrubs for my wedding and they were a hit. There weren’t any left behind. One of my sisters friends used hers and asked how I made it and I told her how easy it was to make this past weekend. We put them in small mason jars. I loved the idea. We kept a few for ourselves as keepsakes.

Besides edible favors, two favors stand out:

One was a shot glass. Most of the guests were from out of town, so they had the city they were getting married in on the shot glasses, plus a nice picture in theme with the city, and on the other side were their names plus the date. May not be for everyone, but I always buy a shot glass in every city I visit, so I thought it was great.

My other favorite favor was a frisbee, it was a good quality frisbee with their names and the date on it. Sounds odd, but it fit in on the theme of their wedding (it basically centered around their love of running and being active outdoors). It was a cute gift, and I always appreciate a good frisbee!
