I haven’t been to too many, but my cousin gave bottles of wine (the same ones they served I believe) as their favors. That was awesome definitely the best thing I can think of.

Of all the weddings I’ve been to, my favorite was tea because I love drinking tea!

Is it bad that I can’t remember a single, good favor I’ve ever received? I can remember lots of things i threw away . . . CDs, bubbles.

I have never received a good favor. Got a couple cookie cutters I gave away at some point *I don’t bake. The one that I liked the most if it even counts if chocolate kisses and hugs on the table. Yum.

Well, I can’t think of a specific wedding, but I think edible favors are best. Especially chocolate 😉 I like not having to take anything home and sometimes something sweet is nice to munch on during the dance.

Best one would have to be chocolate truffles from two different weddings. The first wedding was Frango chocolates. So good! The other one was another set of chocolates from a local chocolatier.

Oh, another one was a piece of marble with an Indian woman on it given as a couple gift. It was made of marble from the province (?) in India where her family’s from. It had to be one of the coolest ones I’ve ever received.

Not sure where else they do this, but in Pittsburgh, they do cookie tables with bags to take home different cookies.  Pretty awesome.

@missclover: The one I got was a tea bag. The couple’s names and wedding date were printed right on the package. They also gave away small monogrammed chocolate bars and both were put at each place setting.

Tea was one of my potential favor ideas and I came across loose tea ideas too. If you’re interested, PM me and I can send you the different ideas I found.

I always love edible gifts, My friend told me about a wedding she went to where they had a green screen and someone took a photo of you and put in a background of your choice and it had the couple’s names and wedding date on it. Another good one was a candy buffet with personalized bags.

I’m going to have to say edible favors as well. My cousin had sugar cookies that she baked and decorated herself. They were so gosh darn delicious! I tried to sneak away my FI’s, but he caught me darn it.

I think the only favors I have ever received has been edible.  I liked some, and thought some were not so great.

I agree that edible favors are the best!

One wedding where I really liked the favor was one where I was a bridesmaid. The couple had a pretty big wedding party (7 BMs, 7 GM) and they asked us each to send them a “love” song. They added one each themselves, and made CDs from it. It was really an odd mix, because it went from things like Stand By Me (my pick) to Earth Angel (from a Bridesmaid or Best Man who is a really big fan of Back to the Future) to I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness (one of the Groomsmen picks). Really kind of random. So that CD was fun for the bridal party in particular because we were trying to guess who submitted which song. I don’t know if it made for all that great of a favor for the wedding guests, though.
