Mine is a natural, untreated 1.50 cushion ceylon sapphire surrounded by 2cts colorless VS clarity diamonds. It was custom made by The Natural Sapphire Company which I highly recommend. The total cost was nearly $8000.00 which, yes, did make me panic—feel guilty–think of all the other things that money could have gone for ect. My husband is gone a tremendous amount of time with deployments, and this was his very generous way of saying “thank you–I love you” for supporting him and our family.

My e-ring was $4500 and my wedding band was $1800, both from a small local family-owned jeweler. Natural sapphire and diamonds (wedding band is .8 cttw; unsure of the ct of the sapphire and diamonds in the e-ring since I wasn’t there when my husband picked it out). So $6300 total. I don’t know much about diamonds, so I’m not sure how it compares cost-wise. I just wanted a coloured stone.

I love seeing all the gemstone e-rings here on the Bee!!
Sapphire eternity was around $4600 from Blue Nile and the sapphire halo e-ring (a “curiosity sapphire” that has 3 colors) was around $4200 from the Natural Sapphire Co.
Sapphires are amazing – unique, yet still traditional :).
