I have a 2 carat purple sapphire with tiny diamonds on the band. It was $1100.

It hasn’t arrived yet but I just bought this one on eBay for $25 as a placeholder for the real thing. When I was looking at all the lab created stones I was wondering if we wasted money on a natural stone. This is the closest one I could find that looks like the real one. The sapphire seems to be bi colored but it could be the lighting. It is lab created But really sapphire- not glass or cz.  I work in a veterinary ER/ICU and I wear gloves a lot. I am so afraid I will yank my ring off with the gloves… So I’m going to wear the cheapie for work and the honeymoon!

My ring is a combination of our favorite gemstones – green tourmaline and smoky quartz. I had asked my other half to not go higher than a grand (to keep me modest and comfortable, and not terrified of losing a fortune ๐Ÿ˜œ) and my ring came in at $950 ๐Ÿ˜Š

I don’t know what my Fiance paid, however it was less than 2K for the entire set ( I also have a diamond wedding band). He bought the montana sapphire from a local jewler in Montana, and the my friend who is a jewler casted the mounting and set all of the stones… so we got a deep discount for this beauty.

My engagement ring is 10k white gold with a lab-created blue sapphire in the center and lab white sapphires all around it. There are some small diamond accents on the shank. We got it at a Zales Outlet for about $279 including tax and warranty. It was originally $865, but it was 70% off plus an additional 20%. It was a frickin’ steal!

Drizzle:  Haha I haven’t been on nearly as much! I’ve come around a few times on the bee but not as much as I had.

I just got engaged Tuesday night and I’ve been dying to show off my amethyst ring! The ring itself was around $500 (it was estate jewelry) and then my fiance had the halo stones changed to peridot – they were originally pink sapphires and I’m not really a pink person. I don’t know what that cost but I know the ring and the additional work together were under $1000, since that was our budget.
