I picked missed period in the poll, but I was also starving and exhausted like a week before I found out. My period has been late before and I had worried about pregnancy, but this time was totally differrent, my entire body and mind felt “off” I also got really dizzy one day and literally saw stars-this was about a week before I tested also.

@abbyful:  I’m not nearly as far along as you, but I’m in the same boat. No nausea, no strong cravings/aversions (besides alcohol, that’s very unappealing to smell at the moment). I’m 9w5d.

My first symptoms were severe constipation and cramps, but they didn’t really feel like period cramps, and weren’t as painful. It just felt like things were adjusting down there. I tested at 12/13dpo and got a BFP.

Since then, I feel pretty normal. My breasts are a little sore, but not too bad, and I’ve been going to bed earlier, but no really crazy symptoms.

Smell–it was right after Thanksgiving, and I was chopping up some turkey to make a sandwich for Darling Husband, and the smell of it made me sick. We’d been trying, though, and had only managed to get it on once that fertile period, so I didn’t was pretty sure it was a fluke. Darling Husband says that’s when he was sure, though.

My first definite sign was a week later, the morning my period was due, when instead of dropping my BBT (I was charting) spiked up. I took a test, and it was positive.

@Annie624 – I feel almost guilty I’ve had it so easy, one of my friends is also pregnant and she’s had a hell of a time, she couldn’t even hardly eat until halfways through her 2nd trimester.

@Annie624:  The exhaustion was absolutely debilitating. Way worse than any morning sickness or other symptom. I would go to work, come home, and sleep. That’s it. There were many days I slept 14+ hours a night.

For all three of my past pregnancies, extremely sore breasts was my first clue. The second clue was an uncontrollable need to nap off and on all day. I literally could not keep my eyes open at times during the first couple of weeks.

I’m going to say breast tenderness as well as heightened sense of smell. I always get sore about a week before my period, but this time it happened right after ovulation and it was like no soreness I’ve ever had! Unfortunately, it still feels pretty bad and I’m 19 weeks. I keep hearing this goes away, but I guess not for me – haha!

I think it’s different for lots of people but for me it was my breasts and exhaustion. I always get sore breasts before AF but before the BFP I was getting what felt like shooting pains radiating from my nipples. So it was different from what would be my normal. I was also taking 2-3 hour naps after getting a full night’s sleep because I couldn’t keep my eyes open.
