@Annie624: hi – i’ll be the debbie downer here (or you might like to think of me as the ‘realistic fairy’ haha) but if your period isn’t due until Thursday, and you posted this on Saturday (or Friday?? i’m in a different timezone), then it is highly unlikely you’d be experiencing any symptoms yet, as implantation wouldn’t have occured when you were getting them. Not to say you won’t get a BFP later in the week, but I doubt that what you were experiencing was related.
However, this thread was very interesting to read, so thanks for starting it!! Although, you’ve just fuelled my own symptom spotting… It is important to note that lots of women had to miss a period or get a BFP before they ‘knew’ though.
All the best!!

For me, missed period followed by absolute exhaustion!

I was exhausted about a week after conception. I slept all the time. I even passed out on the carpet in front of the t.v. one night. For some reason I didn’t get the clue.
The first symptom that made me realize I should test was constipation. I woke up one morning and couldn’t poo. Then I realized my breasts were really heavy and tender and there were blue veins like a roadmap popping out all over my breasts. Plus I was really, really hot like I had a fever. I took the test and it turned dark blue as soon as the pee hit the test line.

About 5 days before my missed period I felt queasy on and off, never actually getting sick. Then 3 days before the missed period I was super tired and had a headache. The day before my expected period I took a test and it was positive.

For me, it was breast tenderness about a week before my period was due. I remember that weekend, I could barely wear a bra they hurt so much. I went about my week until about Wednesday when I finally tested to a faint positive. I didn’t get my missed period until 6 days after the breast tenderness.

I checked other because my first sign was extreme bloating to the point that nothing would help. I started remembering I had the same thing happen when I found out I was pregnant with Dear Daughter. Just got my BFP on Saturday for #2!!!

Thanks to everyone for the input! I am expecting to start tomorrow… But if it doesn’t come, we’ll test again! Again, I have mixed feelings about all this, but know it’s not the ideal time. :/ It has definitely got me wanting to TTC sooner, though!

I checked “other” as it was the a combination of fatigue and missed period for me, though I originally blamed the former on a pain medication I was taking when I was recovering from a cyst removal from my lower back as said medication included the “may cause drowsiness” disclaimer. (Either I had yet to conceive when I had the cyst removed or I wasn’t far enough along for it to show up in the results.) I think I had two or three “negative” tests before I landed a positive. I tested positive about three or four days after what was supposed to be the start of my period for April on one of those home tests and got it confirmed at a local clinic two days later. Oh, and Fiance had a gut feeling I was pregnant prior to us knowing for sure.
