First dress the consultant chose for me was the infamous Adorae!
I ended up with this:
My first dress was Maggie sotteros Rhianna Royale.
But I ended up with The watters lasara.
My first dress was the one I ended up with. Enzoani Darwin.
I ended up buying the first dress I tried on, Lazaro 3111. I specifically told the consultant I wanted to try it on first to “get it out of the way” cause I didn’t think I would like it.
Ooooh this is a fun thread. The first dress I tried on was the Watters Escalante – which was so gorgeous and so Grace Kelly, but I also loved (and ended up with) the Watters Devenport which I love. If I’m being honest it was mostly a matter of cost – but also my mom thought the Escalante made me look more “matronly” whatever that means …
First dress I tried on was a Mori Lee that was very pretty and I loved the top, but the bottom was just not doing anything for me at all, way too big and kinda cut me in half. Kinda weird to look back at pics from my first shopping trip, I haven’t seen them in forever, I dress shopped back in October. But they actually make me more sure I made the right decision!
And the dress I ended up with! Kinda funny cuz it does have my favorite pieces of all those other dresses…the form fitting top of one, the lace of another, the tulle skirt, the sparklyness…but combined and better!
This was mine and for a few days thought I’d found my dress until I kept looking at photos and itgradually became a big no. Here’s my dress (though you know Pengoala haha) I pick her up on Tuesday in time for the big day
(this is the sample and that’s not my tiara I’m wearing)
This is the first dress I tried on, I loved it, but decided to go for something else because i’m quite short and it made me look a bit taller. I dont have a picture of the actual dress as its being made for me, but i’ll try find a photo of one that is similar.
Mine will be similar to this, but in raw silk, its taffeta in the pic, with more rouching and a few more minor changes i’m making. My favourite part is the train.
The first dress I tried on was a mermaid, because I promised my mom I would try one on (I really didnt’ want one). She cried, but only because I was wearing a gown. The second dress I tried on…I bought.
Here is my first dress. It’s a Casablanca but I can’t remember what style number. I loved the way the bodice fit but the skirt was too boring and I wanted lace.
What I ended up with–I do love my dress but I bought it primarily because it was Anne Barge at an unbelievable price:
