The first dress I tried on was not what I was looking for but the consultant put me in it just to see what I thought of it. Pretty, but not me. It was a Maggie Sottero.

The dress I ended up with was also not what I thought I wanted but loved it immediately when I tried it on. It’s Christina Wu.

@pengoala: Thank you! I hardly come across other Christina Wu brides so I haven’t seen my dress around either. I guess we are rare πŸ™‚ And I love your final choice by the way. The detail on the bodice is beautiful!!

Everyone made great dress choices! So much prettiness πŸ™‚

@pengoala:  they are both from DB.  I have decided DB needs a whole new marketing department because the dress I wore, I had seen several times online and had no idea it was that awesome because the photos on the site SUCK.  They are just no good at showing the details.  I remember seeing it in their catalog and then trying it on and not believing it was the same dress!  It was the review photos online of real brides that really convinced me to go try the dress on!  πŸ™‚

First dress I EVER tried on, it was a Pronovias and I LOVED it:

Too much dress and not enough ME!

The dress that I actually BOUGHT and then later decided it wasn’t me:

AND finally, the dress that officially made me a “two dress bride”, THE ONE πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ :

Man, I just spent like 20 minutes writing comments to everyone individually, but then I exed the wrong tab and lost it! Well, I would like to tell each of you individually how beautiful you are in your dresses, that you made the right choice, and you’re all going to be stunning brides! I know it’s not as believable since I’m not addressing each of you alone πŸ™ . . . but I do mean it!

@pengoala: I love this thread! It’s so fun to see how everyone went from A to B. What’s different what’s the same. I have to admit, I still have dress regret most of the time. Everyone on here has such amazing dresses!

The first dress I ever tried on was this Alfred Angelo one (ignore the goofy face).

This is the one I ended up with.  I need to take new pics though at my fitting tomorrow.

This was the first dress I tried on.  My mother loved it, started crying and everything.  I thought it was pretty, but the sweetheart was not flattering on me (no boobs), and it was SO SCRATCHY!

@pengoala:

I ended up with the Casablanca 1955, so similar lace and sparkle, but so lightweight and comfortable!
