A third vote for the guest list. I still feel bad about not being able to invite some people ๐Ÿ™

I haven’t really done much planning yet, but I know I’ll be stuck with the dress and… the guest list.  Seriously, my guest list is the reason I originally wanted to elope.  ๐Ÿ™

The only thing I haven’t made a quick decision about so far is the music for walking down the aisle. I’m really torn.

We haven’t really tackled the guest list seriously yet. I imagine that’s going to be a bear as well.

The most logistically difficult was our venue; it was tough to find something to match all our criteria. Plus, it was time consuming to call/email vendor coordinators, run around the city to visit the prospective venues, etc.

Emotionally the most difficult were the photographer and the dress. The photographer because I initially didn’t know how I wanted our wedding to be photographed, and because photos are so very important, and I didn’t want to make the wrong choice.

The dress was hard because it was so linked to my whole “identity” as a bride. So it was something that took a long time to get right.

Hands down, it was our guest list… I would plan a wedding again, but NEVER come up with a guest list again!

every decision has been a struggle! booking a reception/ceremony site was surprisingly the easiest decision but i’m having issues choosing colors and a dress!

I’ve had a hard time settling on a dress. Now that I’ve paid for one, I’ve just banned myself from looking at any more because then I’ll start to question my choice.

A photographer is proving difficult. I found a girl whose pictures I LOVED and we got along so well and were right on the same page with our ideas on what wedding pictures should be (unstaged, not overly edited, etc.) She was just perfect, and was only charging $600 for unlimited hours/disc with no copyrights/200 printed images to boot because she was just starting out of college and trying to build up her portfolio. Wednesday she sent me a sample contract and we worked out a deposit and today when I emailed her to return it… SHE’D BOOKED MY DATE FOR A WEDDING IN OHIO! I was crushed. I just don’t know if I’ll be able to find someone I mesh with as well who also takes such good pictures for such a low price. It took me a long time to find her and now I’m back at square one, boo. ๐Ÿ™

First was guest list. We wanted a small wedding. We have an Italian family, and didn’t want to offend friends, either. Second was venue–wanted it outdoors, of nearly equal distance between our families, and cost was a major issue. Ended up renting a historic home in a park and tenting outside just in case as there wasn’t enough room in the actual house. Both caused frustration, and in the case of the guest list, more than one argument with family members.
