Kitchen Aid mixer for $300ish and a Dyson Vaccum for $450.  Neither of these I would really expect to get, but if I do I will be a happy girl!

We tried to register for a wide variety of items, most of which are definitely on the inexpensive side.  There are a few splurges on there, such as Wusthof knives ($300), a Le Creuset dutch oven ($260), and an All Clad pots & pans set ($900ish for 10 pieces) – and I figure if they get purchased at all, it will be by several family members who all go in on a gift together.

I don’t even expect these things to get purchased, but I figured we might as well give people the option…  You never know!  Smile

I had an All Clad set for over $800.  I ended up using some of the money I got for my bridal shower to purchase it.

The most expensive original thing was a $350 pot and pan set, followed by a $300 videocamera. Shocked that those were actually purchased, I added on a $400 stand mixer that we plan to buy with the discount.

Only three of our registry items hit the $100 price point. The most “expensive” thing we registered for was a full dish set @ $140, and literally 80% of our registry was $25 and under.

We went about registering a little differently, though. We flat out didn’t feel comfortable registering for expensive items like TVs or vacuums, but that’s just us. We certainly wanted some more expensive things to upgrade a few household items (cutlery, furniture, etc.), but we knew we’d end up buying them for ourselves no matter what. And it worked out perfectly; we just ended up using gift cards to cover those big purchases, were able to thank friends and family for contributing to our new and improved home, and didn’t ever feel like we asked for things that were beyond what our loved ones could afford.

$500 Vitamix blender, followed by $350 Kitchenaid stand mixer and a $260 Dualit toaster.  Aside from bedding, everything else is under $100.

@BooRadley:  The Vitamix will change your life.  Wink  I treated myself to one a few years ago, and it’s amazing.  If no one buys that for you as a wedding gift, you should look into getting a refurbished one through the Vitamix website, which will save you $150 or so.

We have a few $200 items on our registry (Shark Navigator Pro Vacuum, Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffeemaker, Calphalon Knife Set, and a Queen size down comforter). We don’t have anything over $200.

Most expensive is our comforter set for $130.  Everything else is less than that, starting from $1.

Mine was my Kitchen Aid! Totally worth it.  Next expensive? Cuisinart Food Processor and Le Creuset pot. Both fantastic.

Our most expensive item is actually the Kitchenaid Mixer.  Most of our items are in the range $20-$50 but we have a few more expensive items just in case people want to “go in” together for gifts.  I have done this on numerous occasions, pooled my money with another persons and gotten a big ticket item.
