Hello Hive- I have decided to do homemade jam jar favors for my Oct Wedding. Since making the decision I am feeling a bit overwhelmed because it seems like a very big DIY project to embark upon. Mostly because I am a perfectionist control freak and I know each jar (about 130 or so) will have to be perfect!
What was your biggest DIY project? Do you recommend or not-recommend large DIY projects for brides?
Here is my inspiration pic:

I think you will do just fine. Start making them as soon as what you are going to use comes into season, and just do a couple of batches a week, if you can. I say that because when I do something, I have to do it all at once 🙂
My biggest project was making my girls dresses.

Well that makes me feel much better! Doing your own bridesmaid dresses is a huge project to take on. Great Job!

As far as DIY we are doing our Save-The-Date Cards and probably the biggest is all the floral. I think good planning is the key to any sort of giant project like that. I have set timelines, made lists of supplies and will be doing a run through this spring when the flowers come in.
I agree about doing it in batches. I am crazy perfectionist too but I know that once I do a couple dozen of the same thing I get a little sloppy and than I get angry at myself for not paying attention. Dedicate one evening a week to this project months in advance and you’ll be sad, but very proud, when they are done!

I’ve had a few big ones, equally as hard.
I just devote my time to each one until they’re perfect and then I move onto the next project. DIY is the ONLY way to go for us!
