We went off the beaten track with our selection. Angel by Jack Johnson. All of our ceremony music selections were the instrumental versions of the songs we chose.

faithschad :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tlpqjxy-LSQ  Our wedding was in Moab, this movie was shot in Moab and traditional stuff doesn’t suit us.  It was perfect, lol.  I like how it started slow and ‘weddingy’ but then took off in a far more fun way. Think outside the box based on personality, not just trendy or whatever, and you may find something surprising.

skunktastic :  can’t echo the last bit enough. Find music that holds meaning to you (think soundtrack to the first film you watched together, first album he borrowed, what was in the charts at the time etc ec) it made the whole day that much more personal for us and I’m glad we took the time to plan. Hearing jack Johnson now brings it all straight back again

They’re not instrumental so probably doesn’t help, but our choices were pretty non-traditional. I think it’s great to choose songs that are meaningful to the two of you/are your style.

My sister walked down to an instrumental version of Ave Maria, (a lot more serious/dramatic than our choices)

I’m considering an instrumental of A Thousand Years, too. 🙂

My entrance song is “I Cross My Heart” by George Strait and we’re closing the ceremony with “When I Said I Do” by Clint Black. Very rustic, country wedding so it fit well. Entrance is being sung by FHs cousin, closing song will be by my sister. We figured those songs worked well together as love songs, but nicely as opposites for the “before” and “after” of being married

We had live music (6 instruments) and my husband, Maid/Matron of Honor, mom with Father-In-Law and best man entered the church with “here comes the sun” I used “only time” by enya

I had a thousand years…which in retrospect was probably a mistake because I started crying as soon as I heard it lol 😂

I walked down to a piano piece my father composed specially, but my backup plan was from the most recent Kingsman movie “A Man Who’s Honorable”.

I also considered the waltz from The Princess Diaries and “Romantic Flight” from How To Train Your Dragon. I found some good blog posts/playlists online which helped me find those. For me, a soundtrack from a movie just seemed right!

We went very traditional and had Canon in D played by a harpist. I loved it.

In my small wedding I was the only one who walked down the aisle, and I used Joey Ramone’s cover of What a Wonderful World. I loved it.
