I walked down the aisle to “Your Song” by Kate Walsh. It suited us since we got married in a beautiful rustic loft and it was a sweet, simple song. Originally I wanted to walk down to “The Book of Love” by Peter Gabriel but it was a bit too long (If I had had a grand church wedding then definitely would have gone with it though!).

Our “walk out” song was “Hoppipolla” by Sigur Ros. Sigur Ros is one of our all time favourite bands and their music was one of the first things we ever connected over on an emotional level so it was important to me to include one of their songs in the ceremony somehow. Hoppipolla is one of their more happy, magical and upbeat tracks so it felt right for the walk out ^.^

I really want to use the instrumental of “A Thousand Years” by the Piano Guys. It’s beautiful. But I worry, and especially after reading some of the comments on this thread, that it gets over used and I don’t want to have a song that a ton of other brides use, too.

They have some other gorgeous covers though, I might peruse and see if I fall in love with something else by them.
