I haven’t had my shower yet, but for my best friends I framed her invitation to the shower, rehearsal dinner, and wedding. Then all hung together vertically, connected by ribbon. She loved it!

Also, for my roommates shower I got her (among other things) two anthrpologie mugs, the one with the initials on it to match their first names. See below:

For my shower, I got this amazing soft purple blanket off my registry. I think it was like $60, which I would never spend on a blanket for myself, but I registered for it on a whim. I snuggle with it every day 🙂

From the wedding, strangely enough, a double boiler, LOL! I freaking love it (and I’m using it right now). A friend of DH’s has promised us a hot tub after our reno for a wedding present, but I’ll believe that when I see it 😉

Oh one more. My dad gave me a card with a cheque from my grandmother’s estate. She passed away just after we were engaged and I swear he channeled her when he wrote the card, it was exactly her handwriting. I could stop crying and shaking for an hour after I opened it. It was an amazing gift for a lot of different reasons.

I loved getting things off my registry.  I didn’t really like it when people got creative…  I’ve been wanting a lot of the stuff off my registry for a long time, so it was wonderful to receive those things!

I usually ask my friends what they really are hoping to receive off their registry and get that!
