The food! We had really great food, maybe the best meal of my life. I also hate being center of attention so the meal was a time where I could just sit with my husband and just relax and chat without worrying about photos or having to chat to every guest.

The food! We had a 5 course dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower. French wine and Champagne.

Vows, food, and the sneaky Guinness we squeezed in in a pub with just our Best Man and the photographer while having photos taken around the Kings Road (we were married at Chelsea Old Town Hall). It was a beautiful, hot summer’s day and that Guinness was cool, smooth and very, very good. The other rellies had gone on ahead to our reception venue. They were served with Champagne and canapés so they were hardly deprived in our slightly extended absence.

Geekchick42 :  looking out into the seats of our closest family and friends at the beginning of the ceremony (93 people total including 10 kids and us). I was trying to soak it all in.

Dancing with my new husband alone outside the venue during cocktail hour before the reception. It’s Jewish tradition to spend time alone eating bread and drinking wine together to celebrate privately.

When my Maid/Matron of Honor got DH and I up in chairs for the Jewish chair dance ten minutes before the end of the night! The photog and videog had already stopped filming/shooting at that point (I forgot to put it on the timeline so it almost got forgotten).

Looking out during the ceremony and seeing friends that I hadn’t seen in years who came to celebrate with us. My high school class was super close with each other, and most of us hadn’t seen each other since high school graduation. Because we were so close, I made my wedding an excuse to invite all of them and make a mini class reunion. Most of them couldn’t come, but about 10-15 did, and it was so amazing to see them again and spend time catching up the evening before the wedding and then dance together during the reception.

Honestly, for all the guests, my wedding was a big reunion, from college friends to high school friends to friends of my parents who were practically second parents of mine. Then, getting to watch all my family and friends mingle with my husband’s family and friends. The joining of all the families into one big celebration was beautiful and amazing, and is what made that day so special (besides, obviously, the part where I got married to my amazing husband).

The look on his (tearful) face when I first walked down the aisle, everything else was secondary!

for me the chruch was the Big deal! We hired a big choir with different musical instruments and they played this beautiful somgs with lot’s of meanings to us. I read every bible passage from the list they gave me an choose some beautiful ones. at the end we walk out of church to the tunes of safe and sound by capital cities; they did a beautiful arrangement with strings, thrumpets, the whole thing! I loved it!

I also loved that we had a real party! dancing our hearts out until the wee hours, it was so much fun having all our loved ones enjoying and celebrating our love with us.

I felt elated all night long, and being a veey anxious type A person, it’s amazing how much I enjoyed everything and didn’t have a care in the world!

pd. after our firts dance I danced a beautiful song with my son from my firts marriage and it was a beautiful moment to share with my little man!

I have so many favorites from that day…so many moments that I’ll remember for the rest of my life.

We spent alot of time and money planning the wedding but it felt so good to see everything come together and to just sit back and watch everyone smiling and having a good time.

Took this video towards the end of the night..
