Having most of our family members there was the best part! It’s rare to have so many of us all in the same place at the same time. I also had a lot of fun with my bridesmaids the morning of ❤

The ice cream bar for dessert wasn’t bad either 😉

When we arrived at our reception venue, we stopped to allow people to arrive and had some photos taken. I had my back slightly to the photographer with DH in front hugging and the photographer was trying to get a photo with us both looking at him (me over my shoulder). DH kissed me and I turned back to face him, so away from our photographer. Our photographer shouted to DH “can you stop kissing your wife, I’m trying to take a photo of you two in love here. It’s like you’ve just got married”. We started laughing (which made a fantastic photo). It was a wonderful moment of being silly but also mixed in with “he’s my husband!!!”

People’s reactions to our jokes during the ceremony was one of my favorite parts. I also thoroughly enjoyed our first dance despite the fact that I was sooooo nervous about it and we went through some drama choreographing it.

I don’t know – there were so many great moments.  I think maybe when my husband tried to fix my false eyelash during the ceremony.  He’s always got my back, lol.

Geekchick42 :  My favorite part was at the end. Our DJ did something where they had us dance in the middle of the room and everyone else was in a circle. Then everyone like brought the circle in and out a bunch of times. It just felt so good with us dancing and everyone dancing around us. It was a great moment.

Our ceremony! It was perfect and I was expecting to be so nervous, I don’t know what it was but I just felt so calm and happy during it! I remember saying my vows and just looking at DH and that was a sweet moment for me….Also our music. I had a string quartet for the ceremony and they blew me away. I remember waiting to walk down the aisle and I heard them play across the stars from star wars…it was beautiful!

The look on my husband’s face when he saw me walking down the aisle. We did not see each other before the ceremony.

My husband crying when I reached him at the end of the aisle was probably my favorite part. He NEVER cries, ever– and he is just such a macho man to begin with. We did a first look and he seemed really calm and casual right before the ceremony, so I was really surprised when he started getting teary eyed and then when he had full on had tears streaming down his face as our officiant spoke. Which, of course, made ME cry and all I could hear in the audience were family members sniffling. We had a very small wedding of around 30 people and we sat them all surrounding us so I felt like we were literally surrounded by loved one as we said our vows.

I actually really enjoyed going out to dinner with our bridal party after the wedding.

As for during the wedding, the ceremony was fun.

The time right after the ceremony. When we’d just exited the ceremony room and gone into a quiet area together and we were so happy we both cried a little, magical little moment. I also loved the dancing. I didn’t think I would but dancing the night away with my friends and family was just fantastic.

My husband and I had a Turkish engagement ceremony. During this ceremony both of us put our wedding bands on our right hands and kept it there until we got married.

On our wedding night, while people were dancing and having fun, my husband grabbed me and asked when we were going to put the ring on our left hands. Seeing him excited about this was my favorite part of the whole wedding!

Even though the after-ceremony photos took longer than we expected, we still worked out with our wedding planner to squeeze in five uninterrupted minutes alone before we were announced at the reception. It was awesome to have a few minutes to take a deep breath and realize “Holy Cow! We’re married!”

The first look and ceremony, and then when everyone was dancing and having fun and our friends kept wanting to take shots with us lol
