@iloverocks: This is a good story. We had been hanging out and whatnot before we had an official “date”, just at my place or his. However, our first “official date” we went to a Holocaust museum to see a seminar by one of my professors. Yeah… it was Holocaust Rememberance Day, and I didn’t realize it until I saw the sign on the door walking into there. Everyone was crying, and sad. Also, there was an old senile guy that stood up in the middle of the seminar and yelled at my professor “no one wants to hear your nazi propaganda!” and left. It was pretty embarrassing.

@iloverocks: it was a blind date actually, and neither of us really wanted to go at first! We met up at a dive bar with the intent to have 1 drink, do some small talk, and GO! In fact, he even messes with me that I snubbed him at first, because while I was outside waiting on him to get there I started talking to a group of people. He gets there, and I greet him, but then turned around to tell the group goodbye. He said, “I was so insulted by that! I knew you didn’t like me!” But we ended up talking for hours…in fact, when Mr. H started yawning I was semi-insulted as if I’d bored him. I said, “Are you tired?” and he goes, “I guess but I’m not sure why, we haven’t been out long.” Then we checked our phones. It had been 7 hours, and the bar was closing! We finally went our seperate ways, and were pretty much inseperable after that. 🙂

OMG It was SOOOO awkward! We met in a class in college and he kept pestering me to go out with him. I had just got out of a rather rough relationship and really just wanted to concentrate on school and cheerleading. I REALLY did not want anything to do with him and kept turning him down. He kept persisting though.
At the time I had a rather large obsession with Pirates of the Caribbean and the fourth movie was about to come out. He somehow manages to get a hold of the sold out tickets to the midnight show the day before it hit theaters. Needless to say when he asked I went BUT I did everything in my power to deter him to not want further dates. I dressed in ill fitting “manly” clothing and I was a complete B**** the entire night.I turned down dinner and every other activity the he suggested that day.
A few days later I felt bad and ended up inviting him over for dinner (cheap vodka sauce over pasta) and actually acted like a normal human being. I told him about everything, he laughed and we’ve been together now for over 6 years.

He was visiting CA with his friends, so I met them for a show at the Roxy. The band was terrible and we made out on the sidelines throughout the entire show. In hindsight, I would have hated to be standing next to us and totally thought it was gross. Oh well!

Fancy dinner and carriage ride downtown. It was storybook romantic and very cliche lol. But I love him to death, couldn’t ask for anything else! Now, watching a movie at home in our PJs is the best date ever! =)

Our first date was magical. He invited me to go to NYC for a Psychology discussion because he knew I was interested in Psychology. He picked me up at my house and then we took a bus to the city. Once we got to the city, we decided to ditch the discussion and just explore the city together. We went to a sushi restaurant and then walked around the city for hours. Then we went back to my house, sat on the couch, and talked until 6 a.m.

@iloverocks: We went on semi-friend dates to the movies and stuff the summer before my freshman year of high school but our first date as boyfriend and girlfriend was a sadie hawkins benefit dance. My mother asked my dad for a divorce the same night so we missed the beginning of the dance…He was by my side the whole time and convinced me to go to the dance with him and I had so much fun! He comforted me the whole night and I gave him his first kiss during our first slow dance together. He got really nervous and pulled away lol
We went for a walk after the dance and kissed at the park, he was so cute! I remember him pushing my hair our of my face and asking, ” how are your lips so soft?!”
I hate that our first date was the first night of my parents divorce but it really did give me a chance to see what an incredible guy he was!

We met online, and our first date was about two weeks later. First we hit up happy hour at a bar then walked down the street to a 24 hour cafe with really good sandwiches. We ended up talking for 8 hours! We could have done without that last hour where I ended up writing the Greek alphabet on a napkin, but neither of us had anything to get up for the next morning and we liked eachother and didn’t want to come off as lame or rude. At 2am I finally said I was tired, and as he walked me to my car he said “let’s do this again sometime?” abd I said “definitely.” I wasn’t 100% sure I liked him yet but I knew I wanted a 2nd date, and at the beginning of it I figured out that I really liked him!

We met on match.com originally. I didn’t have a paid membership, so he basically stalked be down and found me on FB. I was creeped out and thought he was a psycho. We’re getting married in October 😉
But our first DATE was at a local chinese resturant. He was sooo nervous, barely ate, and made a few weird comments like, “Wow, your nose is SO straight and pointy” haha

@mchitt329: My thoughts exactly. I was sold after that!
@MrsConnolly2bee: I just posted this on another thread yesterday – my SO talked about the mattress-buying process he just went through for at least ten minutes on our first date. Nerves make you do funny things, lol 🙂

When we met, we hung out with a large group of people and it pretty much consisted of having parties, or going to the club. Our first “date”, where we actually were just by ourselves, we went to a Chinese Restaurant and then back to my place and watched a marathon of ATHF. lol

It was awesome. He took me to a bar near my old apartment tht had TURTLE RACING on Friday nights. We had so much fun talking and having the turtle races was a good filler when we needed a break. He walked me to my car and kissed me goodnight with no funny business…
Then, he called me 20 minutes later to make sure I got home ok. I knew right then he was something different and amazing.
