I’m planning on doing a lot of DIY too! I’m not getting married for two years so for most things it’s just too ridiculous to start now. BUT, I am making a 1,000 origami paper cranes that I’m stringing together to use as my ceremony back drop. That’s a lot of cranes so I’ve already started that πŸ™‚ I buy a new pack of paper everytime I get paid and make them at work. I have 76 so far…924 to go!!!!!

I started out making loose paper flowers.  Just tons of them.  They later got turned into centerpieces and bouquets, but at the time I wasn’t sure how I was going to do that!  the first DIY I ever COMPLETED was my cardbox.  I bought the boxes at Hobby Lobby (way cheaper than Michaels’ boxes!) and used spray adhesive to cover them in fabric.  So easy and fun πŸ™‚

and btw Hobby Lobby paper section is my favorite!  Good luck!

My first DIY were my centerpieces, they’re really fancy so they took me like 4 months. Unfortunately I only have a 6 month engagement that’s over in two weeks so I didn’t get to do much DIY, booo. I’m also doing a cardbox and a few signs but then that’s it. πŸ™ oh the invitations were DIY but they were NOT fun! lol

I’ve started on my wine glass favors.  They’re glittery and gold and fun πŸ™‚ They’re similar to the champange glasses on Something Turqouise (I think that is the website). I have 3 down and 77 more to go πŸ™‚

Good question… I actually had to go back to my picture folders to see which one was my first lol

Its my hangers and my strassed shoes, those two were my first 2 projects and recently just finished my shoes (took a long break from them to do other projects)

My first DIY was the clutch purses for my bridesmaids. They are going to carry these instead of flowers.

Getting ready to do a post to share my wedding guest book!! I made one for my showers that have little envelopes inside and the little cards for guests to fill out set on a pretty tray. I am making a photo guestbook through shutterfly for our wedding day to have something a little more traditional.
