Hey everyone! I am just starting to find and reserve vendors.. I was wondering what I should expect to pay a florist by getting an idea of what you guys thought average was and how much you paid yours. I will be getting married in the summer (I know that can make a difference) and we will be having 50 people about 7 tables..

We paid $300 for my bouquet, 2 bridesmaid’s bouquets, 3 coursages, 5 bouts, and petals for the flower girl.
We DIYed the flowers for the centerpieces, and I paid $23 per centerpiece.

I will be having a destination-ish wedding (From LA to CO) so I don’t think I want the added stress of DIY. Is it true that Florists charge an arm and a leg to rent the vases? This concept really scares me seeing that I want A LOT of glass on the table..

My budget was $1,000 and I was having a really hard time finding a DIY source that fit my budget for what I wanted (annoying, right?). Anyway, I ended up finding a florist that did just about everything for $800, but I provided the vases (we used new, wide-mouthed, pint mason jars – about $1 each from the grocery store – for the centerpieces, and larger, vintage jars for the decorative arrangements).
Here is what I got:
- bride bouquet
- 1 bridesmaid bouquet
- 2 small MOB, MOG bouquets
- 12 centerpieces
- 5 large decorative arrangements (for cake table, guest book table, etc.)
- 3 small decorative arrangements (for cocktail tables)
- enough bulk flowers to make 3 boutonnierres, 1 corsage, and 4 large decorative bundles for each of my ceremony “arch” poles.
We used – fwiw – vendela roses, white lisianthus, white stock, light blush spray roses, cream garden roses, and queen anne’s lace.

I spent $3500 on flowers. That includes, bouquets for me and 6 bridemaids, corsages for 3 mothers and grandmother, 15 boutineres, etc. Plus all of the table centerpieces (some quiet large) and the flowers on the wedding arch.
It essesntially was my dream florist list so it was worth it to me.
