Our budget was about 18k, but my Mom keeps adding things so it’s closer to 29k now…. NYC is expensive!!

My older sister spent $7k on her flowers. I couldn’t justify that. My plan is to have my bouquet made by a florist, but to DIY all the other florals.

honeybadgered :  I’m curious- how do you DIY flowers? Don’t they have to remain chilled?

I am DIYing my own flowers besides mine and my fiance’s flowers. I am using simple and common flowers daisies, calla lilies, carnations, and babies breath. Estimated under 500, I’m ordering from a local supermarket and have group helping me the night before the wedding.

Originally I was going to just exclude flowers all together but I started buying flowers for my apartment and realized I LOVE fresh flowers.

knickergold :  I know there are a few options, such Costco, but I am going with Flower Moxie. You order, and then she sends the flowers 2 days before the event. She gets rave reviews, and from what I have read, the flowers will be fine.

$1000 on flowers. Pretty much bridal party flowers and long garland for the head table!

I’m spending $2,000 total (definetly a flower person). To get the cost lower though I’m opting into someone else’s flowers from the day before and then the florist is just adding in a pop of red for me to go with my colors. If you’re interested in this I would look into Bloomerent. They have florists int he tristate area, Boston and DC I think. I’m getting basically $2,000 worth of centerpieces for $1,000 and then just adding on my extras like my couples table decor and bouquets.

I am having a 500 and I thought that was a lot but once I started planning I had no idea flowers were so expensive
