First name is still up for grabs, but the middle name will be Jane, after my mother, who passed away 5 years ago.

We were just going through names on Nameberry.com. We wanted something different, but not too different. My husband goes by his middle name, Christopher, so we thought maybe we’d choose something ending with -ER. So after browsing, we settled on Archer. Plus we like the TV show Archer. I mean who doesn’t like a handsome, lethario, smart-ass spy!? (LOL That’s not really why we are naming him that.) Plus I like being able to decorate with arrows! 🙂

His middle name will most likely be Knox. I just liked it. It’s the one I keep coming back to most often. Though considering some others.

We were also considering Finnegan (Finn) but it didn’t get as many rave reviews as Archer.

ome sons name will be my current last name and FIs middle name.

another son will have FIs grandfathers name as a first name and part of my grandfathers last name as a middle name.

our daughter was a little harder. Both of our moms have passed and we wanted a way to honor them, just like we did with our grandfathers. We couldn’t make their names work together so we haven’t been able to use my moms name. Our daughters name will be something random that we both liked but spelt different than usual because my name and FIs mom name ends in an “I” so I want to continue that with out daughter. It’s Marli, so it’s not like it’s hard to pronounce or anything. And the middle name will be FIs mom and sisters middle name.

Hopefully we don’t have more than one girl because we could not come up with another girl name lol

Children are not in the near future for us, but we’ve talked about names & settled on a few.

For boys, the first will be the III after my husband & my Father-In-Law, but we’ll call him Trey or Trace. If we have a second son, he will be Dominic [my maiden name] which flows practically perfect!

We only have one girl name we can agree on: Emmeline Christina [my mom’s name], but he wants it to be Colleen [his mom’s name] so we’ll cross that bridge when we get there haha.

I would say our inspiration tends to be after a few drinks when we get all “creative” or whatever haha.

My daughter is from my previous engagement and when her father and I were choosing names we wanted a strong name that had a cute nickname. Super embarrassing, but his favorite movie is Bolt (yes, the disney movie about the superhero dog) and the little girl’s name in the movie is Penny. Sooo we named our daughter Penelope, and we call her Penny for short. 🙂 Her middle name is Sophia, which is my mother’s name. Her last name is super Italian, with four C’s!

Penelope Sophia B!

although, recently she insists that her name is Pink Power Ranger…

We picked Riley for DD’s first name. We wantes a name that was unisex. We were between Riley and Peyton, and waited until she was born to pick.  She immediately seemed like a Riley. I’m so glad we didn’t go with Peyton because I actually really don’t like it anymore.

Her middle name is Paige, which is one of my sister’s name. We mostly picked it because we like the way it sounded.

redbutterflybee:  We don’t have any kids, but we’ve already named our first son. James Scott C. James is my dad’s middle name, Scott is FI’s and FI’s dad’s middle name.

But I sense an uphill battle with other kids, because I don’t want to name all of our kids after someone(fist name) and I think he does. James is okay cause it is my dad’s middle name, not his first. If that makes sense.

We don’t have any kids but I know I want to name my first son after my husband..who is named after his father. Any name we chose will be from a family member. I’m all about names with personal meaning. Unforunately my dad had the liberty of naming all three of us and he just ran with it.

redbutterflybee:  We had just started TTC and were all giddy and happy. We were backpacking this ridge in Alaska and throwing out names. I had a few boys names I liked but my husband didn’t like them. He had a few he liked but I didn’t. Then he said, “what about Miles?” and I said, “I actually love that.” We ended up having a boy and his name is Miles and we both love his name! We had a hard time settling on a girl name so it’s back to the drawing board if our next child is a girl.

Don’t have children yet but we shall be NTNP for the next few months after my current period is over :D.

Our boys name is decided: David Gerald Albert. This is a tradition in DHs family. David: DHs Middle name, Gerald: a male name from my family (this is my dad’s Middle name and my grandads first name) Albert: DHs great uncle. All three of these men died quite young so it will be nice to honour them.

Girls name is a bit trickier. As my husband has chosen the boys name, I get to choose the girls. At the moment I like Betsy or Eliana. Betsy, from Elizabeth which was my aunts name and is one of my MILs names. Eliana – Eli from Elizabeth and ana because my middle name is Anne. Apparently also Eliana is related to Eleanor which was my grandmas middle name.

We are not TTC, but we talk about names in a hypothetical sometimes. Our inspirations come mostly from comics, I just love the names! Our top girl pick is Selina after Catwoman. Our top boy pick is from Final Fantasy, Leon.

MrsAKSkier:  I love the name Miles, but our last name ends in -ders, so I don’t think we could ever use it =\

I’ve thought about the name Milo as an alternative, but I just don’t like it as much as Miles.
