My least favorite part is living in the dark and not being able to share any excitement in the planning process since all eyes are on the soon to be SIL wedding that is in a few months. So all my planning has been done by myself and I don’t talk about it. I feel like I get looks if I mention my wedding at all. Sucks.

Budgeting and watching in silence as our savings go down the drain. And our parents’, too. No matter how simple your wedding is, it will still cost quite a lot. We learn it the hard way. Oh, the misery.

happenstance:  I am the same re the wedding. Really not enjoying the planning stage at all, don’t understand how other brides can enjoy it tbh. We get married inAugust and we’re nearly finished planning now so at least I’ll have a few months to enjoy the build up to the day 🙂 plus my dress comes in next month and I really enjoy anything to do with that!

Compiling and managing the guest list, I just found it a bit too mundane compared to other stuff that was fun.

The pressure I felt from some friends. One came over with a big stack of wedding magazines and pointed out a list of 80 things I needed to do to. Another had very set ideas about what a wedding should be and expressed dismay when I was straying from tradition.

Hunting down RSVPs. Some people are just so disorganized or simply don’t care enough to let the bride and groom know if they’ll attend or not… and people changing their minds about attending or not. This is driving me crazy. But, our deadline was yesterday and I’m planning with what I have now.

Other than that, I’m a big planner and love every bit of planning my wedding 🙂
