Definitely watching all of the money go away. It’s depressing to know how expensive some things are. I’m just ready to be married to my best friend!

Family drama!! Also justifying spending all this money on one day.

The drama. My father and stepmother have both been very unsupportive, primarily due to them having a miserable marriage for many years. They also aren’t helping pay for any part of the wedding, and yet seem to think that they can tell me who to invite and that I should be having the wedding in my home town (which is 500 miles from where I live).

There have been a few bumps in the road, but the worst thing is trying to compomise about something with 3 sets of parents. I hear the classic line “it’s your wedding, do what YOU want,” only to have my mother or stepmother or Future Mother-In-Law tell me how they would do it and basically disagree with what I want.

Not being able to invite everyone we love, because of our budget.

My dad surprisingly being judgey about some of the aspects of our wedding and just his general attitude the last month or so before the wedding.

I’m glad the planning and wedding are over honestly. I just wanted to be married!

Engaged in Paris:  We’re getting married in November, and I’m doing a lot of DIY and wanting to get it done sooner rather than later that way it’ll be done, and I can look forward to the day itself, but I know that by doing 90 percent of it DIY I’m gonig to be stressing right up until we’re done our reception and everybody’s saying goodbye!  I guess that’s what I get for wanting to save the money haha!

Family drama is my least favorite part! I honestly never pictured myself having a wedding (if I ever got married!) and now trying to plan a wedding has been so much input from every member of our families, and sometimes I just want to put earmuffs on and walk away. It’s so overwhelming and I just want to marry my FI!! 🙂

Paying for everything and dress alterations.

The woman at the shop didn’t listen to me and ordered my dress way too big despite me telling her I was in the process of losing weight. By the time it came in I had lost about 15 pounds and the dress hung off my body. I spent more than $700 on alterations and had about 5 appointments. It was all very unncessary.

paying for everything ourselves! And all the stresful conversations/argumens that came with it. That was definitely, by far, the hardest part. ( and still is, my weding is in 50 something days!).

I love planning and really am enjoying the entire process, MINUS the spending part. So. Darn. Expensive.

What up Wedding bee it’s been a while! My wedding planning has been dormant the past 4 months due to a wedding postponement… but the 1 year away mark is quickly approaching, so planning has fired up again.  Besides narrowing the guest list, and trying to explain narrowing the guest list to Fiance (he wants to invite everyone and doesnt believe in an A list and a B list)….

The only “big” purchase left for us is choosing a photographer.  This has been the biggest fight which just erupted this past weekend.  FIs parents have said all along that they wanted to pay for the photographer, but they are only expecting to pay $800 for it. In their words, you don’t have to pay $2500 for pictures. I’ve gotten referrals from everyone on my facebook friends list that has gotten married in the last 3 years and have yet to find a solid quality photographer for $800….or any photographer at all for less than $1350.  I have fallen in love with a fantastic photographer who I trust and get along with really well for $1350.  Hey it’s not $2500. I’ll be getting photographers to look into from FIs family hopefully some time this week and will be looking into them… It’s going to be hard to compare with this one that I love.  My parents have offered to split the cost with them, so we will see what happens.
