Today is my 25th birthday. We’re keeping it low key since we are in full blown wedding mode right now. I could not stop myself from thinking what my life plan was when I was younger. I wanted to graduate from college at 22 and get married at 23. I was supposed to be having kids now. LoL I’m really happy I we waited. It has all worked out.
What was your life plan and how did you life plans actually turn out?

I never actually had a life plan but I knew I wanted to get married, travel, and have a kid and/or adopt. I have now added onto the list that in the future I would like to either move close to the beach or buy a non-working farm and breed Airedales.

great post 🙂 Happy Birthday!!!!! My life plan was similar, I wanted to be married with two kids by late twenties (I will be 28 in Aug, getting married in Sept). I was also with someone for 10 years and expected that to be who I married- which is not the case (and boy am I glad!!). Things worked out in a way that I didn’t expect, but I am loving how it all has panned out 🙂 Finally found someone that I have no doubts about his dedication, love and support for me 🙂 They say things happen for a reason and I totally beleive it 🙂

I didn’t really create a life plan when I was younger.

I didn’t have a specific time line but I knew that by the time I was in my mid-30s I would of wanted to be married, in a wonderful career, have a home, and travel!
Well the career isn’t working out as planned, but I have all the others covered and I’m 27. So just as long as I can get my career on track (this is due to picking a very general major in college) I will hit my mid 30s goal! 🙂

I was not a very realistic kid – my life plan was to launch a coup and rule the world.
More realistically, I don’t think I imagined myself getting married before 35-40 if at all. I expected to be doing something in the business side of a creative field (I’d been a stage manager type in high school) and to travel a lot. I tried the creative field, got fed up with it, and now I work in finance and travel a little.

My plan- no kids until age 30, doubted that I ever wanted to get married (“it’s nothing but a piece of paper anyway!”)
Reality- married with a baby at 23
Life didn’t give a shit about my plans haha!
Happy birthday 🙂

My mom was 26 when she got married and 32 when she had her first child. When I was young, I remember thinking how OLD she was to do those things, and that I wanted to be married when I was 24 and have a baby when I was 26.
I got married at 27 and don’t plan on having kids until after 30. My mom is a smart lady!

Everything is better than expected. I didn’t have a timeline but I always said I’d be in advertising (I am), be married (just last year), and have kids (pregnant!).
Sometimes it makes me worry that I’m too lucky and something bad is going to happen.

It’s weird because I never had a plan when I would get married. It’s not that I didn’t want to get married, it just never crossed my mind.
As for my plan, it was originally to go to pharmacy school. Then it changed to earn a bachelors in Biology and apply to medical school. Then I switched gears to law school. And lastly I applied to the AF for a commission.
What really happened:
Graduated with a B.S. in Psychology
Worked in the autmotive buisness as a stock photographer
Went back to school for a Bachelors of nursing.

I always thought I would get married at 27 just because I thought like it sounded like a good age to get married. I thought I would date my future husband for at least 5 years before even getting engaged. I thought I would have kids shortly after marriage. I ended up getting married at 23 and do not have any plans to have kids for at least 4 or so years. I’m happy that it worked out this way!
