Getting in the car to go to the venue, and then getting ready to walk down.

I was one of those brides who kinda was excited but didn’t feel it when planning.

When we did our first look, and before the ceremony seeing our priest, best man and maid of honor, hearing the church bells and seeing some people walking around… That was the OMG moment für me. We were already legally married a week before our church ceremony. But seeing all those loved ones of us was really emotional! We were both quite relaxed until the day of our ceremony. We somehow knew that it’s really happening, and even shed a few tears of joy while planning. But that moment in front of our church really was THAT “now it’s really happening”-moment…. Ahhh, I wanna do that again;-)

It didn’t hit me until the limo pulled up. That’s when the butterflies started and I was nervous.  But the moment I walked into the church and I saw him (cheesy I know) I was fine.

Haven’t had it yet… But it started feeling much closer as soon as we passed the 18 month mark.

Im feeling totally excited and stressed at the same time! I think for me, this wont actually happen until wedding weekend!! Maybe rehearsal dinner or sitting in the limo all dressed up!

When my bridesmaids and I were standing in the resort’s main lodge, waiting for the ceremony to begin. I was a bundle of nerves, but so excited at the same time!

We had our reception at a hotel, and I stayed there the night before the wedding.  As my father was driving up to the hotel, it hit me that the next day, I would be celebrating my wedding in that spot.  Up to then, DH and I would drive by it, and say “oh, hey!” to it, but it never felt real until the night before.

I was in the hotel…laughing and playing around and I was getting my hair done. All of the sudden I realized that after that, I get my makeup done. And then after that, I put my dress on, and then after that, I get married. So I kinda zoned out for a little bit and then one of my BM’s brought me back to earth. HA HA.

Walking down the aisle. Up until that point, the day was so relaxed that it felt like a big slumber/makeover party with my girls. Seeing DH for our first look kind of got it started, but even then we were goofing off, and being silly. The walk was definitely the kicker.

@Mrs.LloydDobler:  I was just going to say the same thing!  I was watching my bridesmiads getting their hair and makeup done, just hanging out, and then it was my turn to start…and then the ball was rolling–it’s such a hard feeling to describe!

When I was actually getting ready and my wedding planner came in and said it was time to do our first look. I was surrounded by my girls all looking gorgeous and I had the dress on, the veil and it wasn’t a trial run….it was the real thing. Here in this picture is when it hit me and I was seriously at a loss of words and had a hard time breathing. I kept my cool for so long but almost lost it at this moment.
