Ours was  ” Here’s to the nights” by eve 6. That was the Theme AND Song.

Our running joke was about how appropreate it was that the song/theme was about a one-night stand.

2005: Our theme was Stairway to Heaven and our class song was “I’ll Be There For You” by The Rembrandts.

We just really loved the clapping and Friends was over 🙁 lol

I was class of 2007. Our theme was “Second Star to the Right, Straight on ‘Til Midnight” (Peter Pan), and I don’t remember having a song.

Wow, some of you had fancy prom locations! We just always had ours in the gym.

My junior prom was ‘night on the town’ or something like that and senior year was ‘hollywood’ or ‘red carpet’ or something haha. 2009 and 2010. Like someone else mentioned, ours were held in the gym, so classy! haha

We didn’t have a designated song but our prom theme was Luau. They gave us cheap champagne glasses and leis to wear. That’s about it. I just remember some guy break dancing in the middle of the dance floor and kicked a girl in the face. It was awful.

haha I don’t remember any songs or themes and I was on the planning committee both years. Jr. year must have had something to do with castle in a cloud because one of the girls on the committee was so set on building a wooden castle with a staircase and while it looked fine it was disaster to set up and she didn’t want to deal with it at the end of the night.

I love hearing about regional differences in Proms. I always assumed dinner was part of the prom until I went to college and realized I was in the majority with dinner and boquets instead of corsages. Also, we never had proms in the gym, usually a country club as hotels were highly discouraged due to the overnight potential the school did not want to support. Sr. year we found a cool venue which is a vintage ballroom in a park.
