I’m curious about this, too. Would you believe before I started planning my wedding, I always assumed there someone to just tell you when to do all that stuff (like a coordinator at the venue or something)! I never realized I would have to come up with a timeline on my own.

We had a couple different things going on and because of that affected our scheduling a bit.

Our venue coordinator actually had many inputs on our timeline. based on his experience and the way they do things.

2:30p Wedding Party arrive at Venue
    3:00  (Officiant!) arrive at venue
3:15p Everyone else to arrive / Quick rehearsal
3:30p Change into White Gown/make up touch up
    3:30 Second Shooter arrives
    3:30-5:00 Cake schedule to arrive
3:40 Get FGs and RBs dressed
    3:45 First Look/ Bride & Groom pics
4:00 Pictures with bridal party & immediate family
    4:45 Rest/Go To Suites
    5:00 Prelude music begins
    5:00 Guests start to arrive
5:10 Guests move to Patio to be seated
5:15 Wedding Party lines in Lobby/ballroom for processional
    5:15 Special guests are seated
    5:30 Ceremony Begins processional starts
    6:00 Cocktail hour begins
    6:05 Portraits w/extended family
6:50 Go to Bridal Suite / get Ready for entrance
    7:00 Guests enter ballroom
    7:15 Grand Entrance
    7:25 First Dance
    7:30 Appetizer Served
    7:30 Best Man Speech
    7:35 Maid/Matron of Honor Speech
    7:40 Change to QiPao
    7:50 Tea Ceremony
    8:00 Stations Open
    8:30 2nd Shooter leave
    8:40 Tea Ceremony ends
    8:50 Father/daughter Dance
    8:52 Mother/son Dance
    8:55 Dancing
    9:15 Stations Closed
    9:20 Table Toasting
9:40 Cake Cutting / Ice Cream Sundae Bar
   11:00 End of the reception

I would say on the day of we were pretty on schedule.

The few hiccups were guests arriving WAY too early so we had to cut back bridal party portrait time. Annoyed me a bit.
