Ours were like $9 a pop including calligraphy and postage. Less than $4 seems pretty affordable to me.

Mine are working out to be $9.25 per invitation suite. Letterpressed but no calligraphy on the outside envelope.

I think your poll skews too low. I’m not at the point of doing invitations, but just look at the costs you mentioned. Two stamps – assuming you’re using sizes and weights that fit within normal first class, which actually isn’t terribly common – is almost $1. Anyone voting less than $1 is either not paying for a second stamp or managed to find the world’s cheapest envelopes and paper.

If you’re doing a full suite of invitation products, even discount DIY prices will be on the upper end of your poll numbers. Less than $4 isn’t the absolute cheapest I’ve seen, but it’s pretty close.

Mine were slightly over $20 each, but I had a very formal, engraved invitation suite.

ETA:  Oops. With calligraphy and tax, they would have been about $25 each.

Whoops, I voted before I saw the “including postage” part.  I don’t have final numbers yet since I’ve just ordered them and haven’t yet bought stamps or ribbon.

I can’t remember exactly all the details but I know that on invites, RSVP cards, envelopes, reception cards it was over 4.5 per invite and then adding the postage and the calligraphy that has to be easily over $6 per invite.

Mine was just under $10 per invite.  Granted I am having a destination wedding with only 30 people invited hahaha.

I don’t remember the exact details anymore, but they were either just under $1 with postage, or just over (less then $1.25 for sure).

I would say mine were about $2 each, at the most. We had about 120 invites.

    Envelopes were $0.15 each
International stamps were $1.05, domestic stamps were $0.44.
Thick handmade paper was around $0.27 per invite.
Printing was free, and a graphic designer friend designed the invite.
RSVP envelopes (needed around 5) were maybe $0.50 each because we just picked them up quickly from JoAnns.

And guess what! They look better than most expensive invites 🙂
