i see everyone talking about budgets, but typically i find that doesn’t include the honeymoon. my honeymoon was enmeshed with my wedding since the plane tickets we bought were for both. but we did go to a fancier resort for a few extra days as our “honeymoon”. so whenever i answer budget questions/polls, i am really answering for both. my total was $14K including honeymoon.
i am curious for people to post their totals too and what your wedding budget was alone to compare.

@dynamic_duo: $14 for a wedding in Jamaica? Sign me up! LOL. I think you’re missing some zeros. Including our 2 week honeymoon in Italy, our budget is $11000. The wedding alone is $4000.

yikes, don’t make me think about the numbers combined! I don’t want to think about them together because the cost is then what i think of as outrageous.
Here goes… $25000… I think I am going to throw up now or maybe just not sleep tonight.

We have a proposed budget of $21k (saving only half of what we think we will get for tax returns and “extra” school money for the next three years) but I feel I can accomplish exactly what I want for about half of that- including the honeymoon. If I do, amazing, if not the money will be there to spend.

We’re spending roughly $15k for our wedding and 7 day cruise Honeymoon to Bermuda.

On my last 1 1/2 weeks of planning, it looks like we’ll come in at 50K for the wedding (includes our wedding bands but not engagement, I don’t know what he paid for it) and 10k for the honeymoon to Italy, however, I doubt we’ll spend the whole 10k. So 60K total, about half over what we thought we’d spend.

Total of $55K for wedding (incl wedding rings – not eng. rings) and 2 weeks in Hawaii (Honeymoon spending money not included)

Total is around $30K for wedding and honeymoon in Greece. At least, that’s what we have budgeted, but we haven’t spent any money yet so who knows how those figures will change.

Yeah we are also 35K with 2 week honeymoon in Thailand adn Bali. I think its hard to compare wedding prices, as what you can get in NYC is very different than what you can get in TX for example.

Having a Destination Wedding in Mexico and total cost is $12K, which includes our parents’ trips.

We are spending $50K on the wedding (thanks to my amazing parents) with an additional $10K from FI’s parents (traditional rehearsal and bar tab). We are paying for our honeymoon and it appears to be about $5k (hotel, flight, rental car) – not including money spent there.
Our splurges were definitely our photographer ($7,500) and our band ($7,500) but I am happy with our decisions.

We are aiming to spend a total of $22k.
Budget for the wedding is about $12k. It’ll be in Saratoga, NY with between 60 and 90 guests (at least I hope we get it down to at least 90, that’s all the venue holds!). No DJ because I don’t like them.
For the honeymoon, we’re budgeting $10k, which includes 3 nights in Barbados, 5 nights in St. Lucia at Sandals, flights from Boston -> Barbados + Barbado -> St. Lucia + St. Lucia -> Boston, and dog boarding for the entire time we’re gone.

We’re budgeting 50k and hoping to honeymoon in either St. Lucia or Antigua. Still researching the prices…

About 25k for both I hope… with most of that going to the wedding. We’re havnig a ‘cheap’sih honeymoon since we just splurged on our big trip to NZ/Aus a few months ago which set us back 12k.
