Definitely the photographer.  I won’t wear the dress again.  Noone will see the shoes.  The flowers will wilt.  But, those photos will be cherished until the day I die.

Dress and photography! We both wanted great photography so that didn’t feel like a splurge to me, more like a necessity. However, the dress was a big surprise, because I’m a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. So when Fiance fell i n love with this one dress and I felt it too, I was like, oh what the hell…why not? So yeah, so feeling guilty, but very much in love with my wedding dress.

Mine’s the photographer. Took out a huge chunk of our budget but we love his work and think it will be worth it! 🙂

We splurged on our caterer. we had been to a bunch of weddings in the past yr and the foods we ate were so horrible. But then some may argue we splurged on our venue too…

Catering. And wine. We are paying corkage on the bottles we’re supplying. And we’re supplying all of them, because we liked our selection better than the Homestead’s.

At the moment it is my $2000 wedding dress which I love.. But I am going to be doing a lot of DIY with Muslin so that may become a big splurge.

The venue.  We paid $8000 just to RENT the venue.  This didn’t even include basic essentials like tables or chairs that you’d get at hotels or most other venues!!  We also need to pay for generators to supply enough electricity!!  Big ouch on the budget, but it’s truly beautiful and one of a kind.

My dress was double what I orginally wanted to spend but I just fell in love with a Jim Hjelm gown. I just love alencon lace!

Shoes and the dress.  Got the shoes.  Next the dress!

As far as wedding goes, getting his ring will be the other splurge!  We have to wear our rings for the rest of our lives!

My splurge was the shoes – I would have never guessed I’d spend $200 on shoes, but the Benjamin Adams Renee shoes were the only flats I could find that I really loved!

Photography and videography for a TTD shoot!  I figure I’m spending enough on the dress I may as well get some great pictures of me in it!
