I had it in my head I wouldn’t spend more than $500. I ended up doubling that when I found *the* dress. The bridal shop is throwing in either a hem or side seam alteration, but I’ll stil have to pay for the bustle.

My budget was $1500, but my dress was about $1600… After alterations, veil, etc. it will be closer to $2000. But I searched high and low for my dress, so I’m not complaining. 🙂

Mine was $1000 which I was hoping would include alterations as well. The dress I chose was just over $1100 after tax, pre-alterations. I’ll need it hemmed, bustled, and possibly taken in a bit if I lose more weight. So I’m guessing $1300-$1400 when all is said and done? Alterations will happen in January/February, so we’ll see then for sure…

I have two dresses. The budget for the church wedding dress was $2000, but I spent $1100, and the budget for the courthouse wedding dress was $500, but I spent $370. I did really well, I think.

LOVE all of these dresses. I also love that this thread is still alive. 🙂
However, my favorite thing about this thread is the fact that a bunch of you found gorgeous dresses for under $1000, which is my goal!
