When we first got engaged, we were hoping to stay around $15k, however we live in LA where prices are not cheap…and when we started looking at a budget there was no way we could have the venue we wanted and pull of $15k. Right now it looks like we will be spending between $20-$25k….If the price of one things goes up, I’m trying to take it out of another part of the budget (I have pulled having floral centerpieces to save $1k which will be going towards other expenses)…we’re also not going to have a full size cake but isntead do a dessert bar. So right now its just a game of give and take. We are paying for this ourselves, and are both very easy going people, so we’re just trying to decide whats really important to us, and what we can do without. We would LOVE to have a photo booth, but the deal was that we will see where money is once we’re closer to the wedding…and decide if the money is in the budget from there. We’re going to Tahiti for our honeymoon, and thats another $10k. *gulp*

We spent $7,000 for a wedding and honeymoon together – got married on the honeymoon. We just thought that was a decent number without being overbard for a trip and wedding combo. Originally we thought $5,000 for a weddingmoon but then realized things cost a little more.

My dad is giving us $5k, and my original budget estimate was $10k for a Caribbean destination wedding with 20 guests, but it looks like we will end up around $13k when all is said and done including wedding bands but not the honeymoon.

Ours was initially 45-50k (paying it ourselves). At one point we were guess-timating it ending up at 60k but now that we have the approximate number of guests attending (about 140), we’re jus t under budget at like 49k.

Our budget is right around $22-23k
Fiance and I are paying about $10k (including our rings)
My parents are paying between $12-13k.
FI’s mom is paying maybe $700 or so for the rehearsal dinner.
Includes every single thing from my bracelet to my cake topper, even my flight/hotel for bachelorette party in Vegas and boudoir photos (I have a very extensive excel sheet). Only thing not included is a honeymoon.
I’m planning/hoping on around 100 people (or less!). I invited about 135.
Ooooh I remember right before I first got engaged I thought I’d spend $10k or so. NOPE.

Right around 40K for about 300 people. I’m hoping it doesn’t go up too much more :/ That’s with both of our parents giving 10K each.
