MissAmericanPie:  My friend did this at his wedding and it was awesome! They put them on a favor table and didn’t annouce it or anything so a LOT of people left without them. Sad for them but I snagged four jars! 😀 We are actually down to our last jar now and I refuse to open it because then it will be gone in a week for sure.

I’m planning on canning strawberry jam and putting a cute fabric with the lid to accent the decor. I’m a home maker as it is so I like to make things like this anyways. It’s a 50 person wedding so wouldn’t take a whole lot of effort. If anyone leaves it behind the. Great for us, we have extra jam:)

We had a s’mores station set up and the favors were pre packaged s’more kits with both a Reese’s and a mini Hershey’s bar. It seemed like a big hit. Either way, I love s’more so it didnt matter. My sister is doing a mini jar of homemade caramel with a fresh apple.

stephanie68311:  I love these ideas! This is the type of quaint favor I have been looking for. How much do you charge? Can you PM me and give me your etsy store name? Thanks!

amanda1988:  Our favours will be bottles of beer with custom labels, we’re getting married at a brewery out in the country side with a gorgeous hall that has huge windows looking into the brewery part. And the venue offer a service where the bride and groom can make a custom brew with the help of the brew master and they will bottle it for you and if you give them the label design they will do the labels as well!

MexiPino:  that’s not a bad idea to not announce it – i still have a ton more to make if i want enough for everyone! haha. i think we’re putting ours at each place setting. i’m going to cover them with fabric and hope it’ll also serve as part of the decor.

I bought little laser cut boxes and will be putting two squares of gharadelli chocolate and a tea bag in them. Fi’s family loves drinking Chinese tea so when I was in China, we got a bunch of loose tea leaves and had the vendor pack them in air tight bags. Half is green tea and half is black tea. The candy is mainly for the kids.

My Nana means a lot to me and I LOVE her jam so she is making either Saskatoon Berry or Choke Cherry/Crab Apple Jam.

We are giving away local olive oil. The flavor will be Sicilian lemon. We got engaged in Sicily and we love Italy, but it is a local vendor of the area where we are getting married.

90% of our guests are Catholics – we light candles/insense a LOT 🙂

SO and I are going to give out personalised matchboxes. So that when our guests light candles in the months following our wedding they can be reminded of the day and it’s useful.

It’s so inexpensive but cute we thought.

I handmade little teacups to go with my beauty and the beast theme. I gave the kids candy “poison” apples because i had a soft spot for snow white as a child (they came from etsy).

amanda1988:  This was my DIY wedding favor. Its a plastic ring box with a pedafor(I didn’t make) inside with ribbon around it, sticky gems on it, and a favor tag. I loved how it turned out!

amanda1988:  I also did these little bells as well. Hot pink to go with the centerpieces for this one and black to go with my other centerpiece.
