I can’t seem to come up with a wedding favor idea that isn’t boring or useless. If I’m going to spend the money on favours, I’d like it to be something that will get used or at least be practical in some way. But I also have 100 guests to gift, so I’d rather keep costs low.
Have you come across any fun or original ideas that aren’t ridiculously expensive?

I wasn’t going to do favours at all BUT I just got a TARDIS cookie cutter for my birthday, so I might bake TARDIS cookies and maybe our initials and put them in little bags. If I have time.

We are having a book themed wedding and our tables will be named after books. I am planning on doing personalised bookmarks as escort cards doubling as favours. Low cost! I am not sure if we will do something else as well or what it would be!

We did small bags of a gourmet popcorn blend (it had caramel corn, cinnamon corn, and cheese corn). It wasn’t too expensive, it was edible, and people could take it home on an airplane without worrying about carry on restrictions. It was a big hit

We had a lolly station full of English sweets that are hard to get in New Zealand. Such as Percy pigs, dolly mixture and bon bons. It was a huge hit and all the girls filled the white paper bags with sweets and took them home with them. The men loved it too. All the sweets were in old fashioned lolly jars.

We did little bottle of home made liquor. Another great one I’ve seen is a little box with home made macarons.

We did homemade strawberry jam. My husband and I made 60 little jars of jam, and I decorated them with chalkboard labels. Our guests loved them!

I posted the other day about favors… We had to reschedule our wedding due to the hurricanes so we had yeti’s printed. Another bee gave me an idea to add “I do, take two” I had favor bags printed with that cut saying we are also giving lottery tickets.

weddingnewbie23 : We went to a nearby Lindt store to buy truffles and also small white gift boxes which held two truffles each. At Michael’s craft store we bought little stickers which read “I do” and put one on each box. Each guest got a box at their place at the table. They were very popular! Lindt has regular sales which helped with the cost!

We’re just doing candy bowls on the table

We’re doing jars of jelly beans – our colours are green, gold and white and our beans are lime and sparkling wine flavoured. The jars are spice jars and I’ve embossed a gold heart on the top, so reusable afterwards! (If the heart really bugs people, it can be soaked off) I made tags saying “thanks for BEAN part of our wedding day!”. Punny, yummy and a bit practical all in one.

We are doing tea bags with my favorite tea. It is kind of lame but wanted something easy.. Our wedding is kind of tea and hockey themed. We have tea pot centerpieces and a tea bar which we are calling the penalty box.
Its kind of a odd combination but so us(well tea is me). Fiance doesnt care as long as I am happy.

You’re gettin married in October like me so I went fall themed and am doing caramel apples. They’re only about $1.50 each I’m also using them as the seating chart so they have a double use
