He hates the idea of a Viennese hour and a dessert bar, and just wants wedding cake..devastating! Ha.

– BM’s not wearing the EXACT same dress (doesn’t even like same designer/fabric/color in diff. styles, but he is going to have to get over that!)

– Lace – like most guys, he thought it would be stuffy/fussy/look like grandma’s curtains. (He changed his mind when he saw my dress)

Those are the two main things I can think of now. Mostly I was surprised by how many things he DID have an opinion on, and how involved he has been. Most guys don’t care that much about planning, but he is pretty good at it.

DH actually bought the FIRST wedding magazine when we were organizing the wedding.  He suggested it was a good idea to sit down and check out the dresses, what he didn’t like and what I didn’t like.  He, like me hated the dresses that seem to be in fashion here (lots of see through sections on the bodice -very low cut, sequin vomits etc). I wasn’t shocked with his opinion – it was the wedding magazine that got me!  Although I think I shocked him with how traditional I wanted to look.

With regards to hair, he asked me not to wear any fake hairpieces (he paniked when his SIL and cousins were discussing where I should go to get extensions – they’re very bossy.)

Make-up – he wanted to recognise me, so look as much as I can like I do every day.

These are hilarious!  Mine hasn’t voiced much strong opinion yet. He’s just happy with the booze, food and music selection. Everything else, he doesn’t have an opinion yet. But in passing, while watching wedding shows he has mentioned not really liking :

– short bridesmaids dresses

– too many flowers (he is allergic, so we won’t have any real ones)

– Long ceremonies

– Oddly enough, getting ready photos? WHAT? (He likes his privacy and I think he thinks the photog will be all up in his business while he dresses) I know I was pretty bummed, but I think I can turn him around on this one

He has made clear his must haves though:

– A BBQ whole pig, or two!

– long dresses

– Premium Booze open bar

– high ceilings at the reception venue (yeah, this one I was shocked by – luckily we found the perfect place)

DH didn’t want a traditional wedding .. but other than that, he wasn’t really interested in the details XD I basically figured out what he was going to wear and that was it. Everything else was left up to me.

the best man even told me after the wedding that he was asking my DH whether they were supposed to have their sleeves up or down and DH had no idea … I laughed. Good thing DH called me on the phone for that one.

So random, some of these!  Such a fun thread.

He didn’t like:

1. A banquet hall for the venue (good thing we were only 100 people!)

2. A colour scheme for the decor….seriously.  Didn’t understand why things had to match like that, lol.

I love lace dresses and knew I would get one.  I purposely didn’t show him any pictures of dresses because if he said he hated lace it would have broken my heart.

My dress is all lace from top to bottom guess I’ll find out!
